Our demo teams are hard at work in the @uri_mu as the @universityofri 𝐑𝐚𝐦'𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐧 and the 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 get a little summertime facelift. 💆🏻‍♀️

Take a quick look at the progress as we gear up for our grand reopening in the fall and swipe to the end to check out our fancy new @catchbox technology – a throwable audience microphone that will revolutionize the way you ask and answer questions. 🎤 (𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂)

Center for Student Leadership Development:

“For almost 19 years, Melissa Boyd has led the Center for Student Leadership Development. Her resume and job description have phrases like “provide strategic direction“ and “develop curriculum, advise students and design and instruct courses” and “collaborate with campus leaders”. Other words like “assess”… “administer”… “manage” appear as well.

But let’s paint the bigger picture. She is a fierce advocate of students, prioritizing their needs and ensuring their voices are heard. She has provided a couch and a candy bowl for comfort, and shared a laugh (sometimes at her own expense) to anyone in need, students and colleagues alike. She has shown the depth of her care in all she does.”

Please help all of us in congratulating our new Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement and Director of the Memorial Union! We are thrilled for this new chapter and look forward to Melissa’s continued leadership in the Memorial Union and our campus community.

Y’all can still visit her in the 210 suite, once she settles in her new office! taken in URI Memorial Union by @uri_mu
