Earth Day brought a wave of emotions and led me to reflect on how I’ve deepened my connection with nature and community—and that journey has become my most spiritually grounding experience. taken in Earth, Milky way by @urvilp

I fasted for 36 hours and the experience of going to bed hungry brings you acutely into presence with what is an indefinite reality for countless people throughout the world.

We have the power to dismantle the overlapping systems of oppression that perpetuate these atrocities so it’s up to us to act and stop the violence that is being done by our countries and with our money. Every right we have today has been fought for by every day people, not politicians.

I have been vegan for 3 years now and it has been the best decision I have ever made.

Initially I was reluctant thinking I would get weak and skinny, but I am the strongest I have ever been. It has made me a better runner, lifter, climber, and I continue to feel healthier and more energized every day.

More importantly, it has made me a better person. A more steadfast feminist, environmentalist, health advocate, and overall stronger ally for all social, ethical, racial, and animal justice initiatives.

Using more than words, I committed to holding myself accountable for the issues I claimed to stand up for, through action. This is an intersectional issue that encompasses every social, ethical, and moral cause.

Please reach out if you have any questions regarding veganism or if you are wondering how this involves climate change, feminism, racial equity, and other ethical challenges. by @urvilp
