🚨URGENT CALL TO ACTION 🚨 ‼️ALL OUT FOR SOCAL NAKBA DAY‼️ 🇵🇸MASS SUPPORT NEEDED (@ UC INTIFADA LIBERATION ZONE, WED MAY 15 1:30 PM)🇵🇸 In commemoration of 76 years of violent occupation, we call on all of Southern California to mobilize to the UC Intifada Liberation Zone on Nakba Day to honor all our martyrs, to end UCI complicity in genocide, and to drop student suspensions. Howard Gillman is not negotiating with us in good faith. He accuses the student negotiators of not meeting with him after he suspended all of them from stepping foot onto campus! SHAME! We gather on Nakba Day to call for Gilman to drop the student suspensions and continue negotiations to meet our demands! We gather to demand UCI divest from genocide, disclose their financial investments, delink from zionist institutions, reinvest in students and workers, give amnesty to student activists, and correct the narrative by calling for an end to the genocidal occupation of Palestine. As the UC Regents gather for their May meeting to discuss how to punish us, their students and workers, for speaking out against genocide, WE CALL ON ALL OF SOCAL TO MOBILIZE AT THE UC INTIFADA LIBERATED ZONE! HANDS OFF RAFAH‼️ DROP THE SUSPENSIONS‼️ RECLAIM OUR UNIVERSITY‼️ FREE PALESTINE‼️ ⏰WHEN: WED MAY 15 1:30 PM 📍WHERE: UCI ROWLAND HALL 400 Physical Science Quad, Irvine, CA, 92697 by @usc_sjp_backup
❤️‍🔥 JOIN US ON MAY 12th 3:30PM AT THE SHRINE AUDITORIUM. SO-CAL SHUT IT DOWN FOR PALESTINE. ❤️‍🔥 In an attempt to avoid accountability to their students call for divestment from the zionist state, Pomona college has moved their commencement ceremony to the Shrine Auditorium. Let’s show Gabi Starr, Carol Folt, Gene Block, and countless other violent administrators that we will not let them avoid Palestine as long as they aid and abet genocide! No graduation as usual. Anywhere. Students across So-Cal are unified in their principled call for divestment and fight for Palestinian liberation. by @usc_sjp_backup
the liberation zone may not physically exist anymore, but the seeds of the largest student revolution at usc have only just been planted. we are building a people’s movement for palestine and for all oppressed peoples. we remain unmoved and we will continue to escalate until total liberation, from south central to palestine. it is our unequivocal right to rebel against injustice, and we have every intention of continuing to do so undeterred. the university is reliant upon us forgetting, but we will remain steadfast in struggle until our last breaths. by @usc_sjp_backup
PRESS CONFERENCE TUE 5/7 AT 9AM LAPD HQ LAPCFAILS, a coalition formed in 2015 and led by the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition, Black Lives Matter Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Community Network, and White People For Black Lives, joins students, faculty, and the broader Los Angeles community in demanding the removal of Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners President Erroll Southers from all positions of public influence and administration over public safety in Los Angeles. Early Sunday morning at 4am, USC authorized DPS and LAPD to mobilize against the Divest from Death encampment in armed riot gear while students and faculty slept. The encampment complied with dispersal orders yet 14 students and 1 staff member have been suspended. We call upon the alumni to condemn the violent harassment and demand these suspensions be dropped. by @usc_sjp_backup
