‼️ IT’S TIME ‼️

Thank you SO much to everyone who came out to our workshops! We had such an amazing time teaching the tryout choreo, getting to meet all of you, and seeing everyone bring their own energy to the room. We seriously can’t wait to see what you guys bring to TRYOUTS TONIGHT at 8PM in Strom 127! 🕺🔥

Just a reminder that you must have attended at least 1 workshop to try out for Akshara. If you’re planning on trying out tonight, make sure you fill out the tryout form by 5PM so we can get everyone organized and put you into audition groups!

AKSHARA 2.0 WORKSHOPS ARE HERE! 🔥

We’re so excited to officially kick off our second season with our upcoming workshops! Come join us on September 8th and September 9th to learn the choreography that will be used for our upcoming tryouts and get a sneak peek into what an Akshara practice typically looks like.

We will be teaching the tryout choreography at both workshop sessions, and you must attend at least ONE of the workshops in order to try out. Bring your friends, come ready to dance, and most importantly, come ready to have fun!

Workshop #1: September 8 @ 9 PM Strom 116

Workshop #2: September 9 @ 9:30 PM Strom 125

No previous dance experience is necessary to attend our workshops or try out! Whether you’ve been dancing for years or are completely new to dance, we’d love to have you come out and see what Akshara is all about.
We also want to see everything you bring to the table! If you have a special talent or skill that you’ve received training in and would like to showcase, make sure to fill out our Special Talents Form, which can be found through the linktree in our bio.

Be sure to join our GroupMe through the linktree in our bio for direct updates about workshops, tryouts, and upcoming events. As always, feel free to reach out to us with any questions or conflicts. We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to attend and try out!

Come find us at our Org Fair and Interest Meeting to learn more about our team, meet our exec & dancers, and get all the details you need for recruitment!

Then, join us at our recruitment workshops to learn choreography and get ready for tryouts! ✨

‼️ A-Town Showdown ‼️

We wrapped up our 1.0 season in the heart of Atlanta at @a_townshowdown !It was an incredible finale to the year, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to walk away with a 2nd place trophy for our final performance! 🥈🏆

Huge shoutout to the board and our dedicated liaisons @ary_agarwal and @abhinavnimmagadda for making our time in ATL so memorable. Major congrats to @rutamasha and @emoryagnition on your placings—it was an honor sharing the stage with such talent. To all the other teams, thank you for bringing the heat!

‼️BLOOMINGTON KI BADTAMEEZI‼️

Our first competition took us to Bloomington, Indiana for BKB! We had such a great experience and want to give a special thanks to the board and our amazing liaisons @amrit_kar06 @sehermehta__ and @nillieghosh for their hospitality. We are so grateful to have placed 2nd!!🥈🏆 A huge congratulations to @chicagoadaa and @cmu.jiya for their respective placings and to the rest of the teams for their amazing performances!

Akshara started off their first comp season with our very own NIGHT OF FIRE🔥🔥. We had an amazing time exhibitioning at our hometown competition @aagkiraat .
