What a ride it was this year from the D2 team. The CARDIAC COCKS are the club’s first team to win a regional and at least one game in the World Series. We’re extremely excited for what’s next for this amazing group of guys. by @uscclubbaseball

To cap off our senior thank you’s, we’ve got the Commander in Chief, John McNabola. Over the last two seasons, John shifted the culture of the organization.

Johnny was a 4 year D1 member, productive catcher, and fearless leader. He always stood up for the club, getting tossed in a game in each of his four semesters as Prez.

The work that John put into the club over the last two seasons was second to none. Whether it was taking care of the fields, putting schedules together a year in advance, staying up late to make lineups and plan practice, or hitting terrible fungos, John poured his heart and soul into the team. He oversaw three regional playoff appearances, a World Series appearance, and several all region and all American nominations during his tenure. His postgame speeches and ability to hold each guy accountable helped push the team forward.

From the Salty Nut and Jakes to Denmark and the Sawyer Pool, Johnny was always bringing the guys together.

Johnny has moved to Boston where has started work. More importantly he’ll be able to fully assimilate to Boston sports fandom, and quit debating whether or not he roots for NY or Boston.

Best of luck brotha brotha, you’ll be missed! by @uscclubbaseball

Next up for the Gamecocks is Ryan St. Clair, aka Saint or Sainty. Ryan was a four-year member of the club, served as Vice President for two years, and was a D2 All-American and captain in 2024.

Ryan was truly the heart of the D1 team. He was hands down one of the hardest workers and most competitive guys on the field, always pushing his teammates to be better. He was the first guy to lift someone up when they needed it, but was also never afraid to hold guys accountable.

His baseball knowledge was second to none. Off the field, Saint was an Immaculate Grid and Stat Pad mogul, while also finding time to lead his business fraternity and never missing an opportunity to show off his love for the New York Mets.

Over his final two seasons, St. Clair hit .335 with an .847 OPS, collecting 54 hits, 43 runs, 36 RBIs, and 29 stolen bases.

Ryan’s leadership and presence will be sorely missed as he heads back home to Jersey and begins his career in New York City with Excel Sports Management, working in Baseball Sales.

We wish you the best, Saint! Continue to make us proud! by @uscclubbaseball

Coming out of the pen now is 2-time board member, Cade Phillips. As the back to back parent and alumni chair, Cade was dedicated to the club from the jump.

He made a habit out of throwing frisbee sliders to become a trusted relief arm throughout his tenure on the D1 and D2 teams. During the 2025 playoff run, Cade boasted a 2.5 era with a couple of crucial saves and the most strikeouts among relievers.

Off the field you could catch Cade on the Strom basketball courts and football fields where he was draining 3s and catching touchdowns in intramural games.

Cade graduated with a degree in Computer Information Systems, and is returning home to work in Alpharetta.

Best of luck Cade, looking forward to getting you back in Cola! by @uscclubbaseball

Next is our faithful treasurer. A man of many names (Mitchy Bombs, Money Mitch, Reach Reach) Mitch never hesitated to step up for the club.

He served as our treasurer in 2026 and a D2 captain in 2025. Mitch was a brick wall behind the dish, taking home the D2 gold glove in 2023.

Beyond the field, you could find Mitch brewing his own beer, catching a country concert, or most importantly to him, leading Bible Study at St. Thomas More on campus. He made an impact on many usc students beyond the club, and was a true leader.

Mitch graduated with degrees in Finance and Accounting and is starting with PWC in their Charlotte office!

We’re proud of you Mitch, and thanks for your dedication to the club! by @uscclubbaseball
