Leadership isn’t a title you wait to inherit after graduation. It’s how you operate right now.

Standing with our founder and chair, Professor Michael Paranal, this GEMS cohort isn't just preparing for future executive roles, they’re taking on real strategic projects with powerhouse organizations across consulting, tech, healthcare, and finance.

From boardrooms at Deloitte and Snap to enterprise-level client strategy, our students are delivering real value while still on campus.

Taught in USC Fertitta Hall. Leading in the rooms that matter.

The Trojan Family isn’t just where alumni end up it’s how quickly they come back into the room.

A few weeks out from Kickoff, the momentum is still setting our pace for the semester. Having GEMS alumni, mentors and partners like Craig Morrison from Snap back on campus gave our incoming USC Marshall and Leventhal cohort an immediate, unfiltered look at what it takes to navigate competitive corporate rooms early.

Imagine leaving your mark at USC while working alongside organizations like Deloitte, LA28, Snapchat and the Ellison Medical Institute and Steerpoint Capital.

For GEMS Fellows, that opportunity is just the beginning.

Through Legacy Projects, mentorship and hands-on experiences, students get to lead, collaborate and create meaningful impact beyond the classroom.

Along the way, students connect with leaders and professionals across industries building the skills, relationships and experience that can help prepare them for what comes next.

GEMS is about more than preparing for a first job. It’s about developing thoughtful, confident leaders ready to make an impact. by @uscgems

There’s a difference between knocking on doors and having doors opened for you.
The LA Clippers didn’t just call GEMS, they asked to partner. Because they’ve seen the impact. They’ve watched the leaders we’re building. They know what USC GEMS represents.

Asif was a proud member of GEMS during his time at USC. He recently graduated with a degree in Business Administration and will begin his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America.

One of Asif’s favorite memories from GEMS include firm visits, where he had the chance to network with professionals from diverse business backgrounds and gain insight into unique career paths.

He further credits the mentorship component of GEMS as a game-changer in his recruiting journey. Under the guidance of Professor Michael Paranal and with dedicated mentorship of Jason Shapiro, Asif was able to discover the right career path and navigate the challenging recruiting process with confidence. He shares that the support from both mentors played a crucial role in helping him land his full-time offer.

Asif reflects fondly on the GEMS community, describing it as a group of talented and driven individuals who inspired and supported each other.
