A few days ago, i had the pleasure of participating in this year's COP29 in Baku Azerbaijan.

I was also opportune to deliver a note on THE IMPORTANT OF TREE PLANTING IN NIGERIA AS AN EFFECTIVE WAY OF MITIGATING CLIMATE CHANGE IN NIGERIA at the COP29 side event organized by the presidency and the United Nations of Youth Network.

As an SDGs advocate, agenda, no 13 of the goals, which is climate action, has always been an important area for us all to ensure the survival of our planet

All thanks go to the UNFCCC and the Government of Republic of Azerbaijan for organizing and hosting this high-level event.

I would also like to appreciate Nigeria and the African delegation for their participation at the summit in ensuring a more sustainable world for us all.

looking forward to COP30 next year in Brazil 🇧🇷

A MESSAGE OF HOPE, UNITY AND RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP TO THE YOUTH OF NIGERIA

Dear Nigerian Youth,

As the National Speaker of the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN), I extend my warmest greetings and encouragement to every young Nigerian who continues to believe in the greatness and possibilities of our nation.

Nigeria's future is not merely something we wait for it is something we must collectively build. The strength of our nation lies in the creativity, courage, intelligence, resilience and determination of its young people.

I therefore call upon Nigerian youth to rise above the challenges of today and embrace the responsibility of shaping the Nigeria we desire. Let us become young people who do not only demand change, but who are also prepared to lead change, implement solutions and serve with integrity.

Our generation must champion inclusive governance, responsible leadership, effective policies and the practical implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is not enough to formulate beautiful policies; we must ensure that those policies translate into opportunities, quality education, decent employment, innovation, healthcare, environmental sustainability, peace and dignity for every citizen.

Let us build a society where no young person is excluded because of their background, gender, disability, location or economic circumstances. Every young Nigerian deserves a seat at the table where decisions affecting their future are made.

The National Youth Assembly of Nigeria remains committed to promoting meaningful youth participation, democratic values, accountability and constructive engagement with government and institutions at all levels.

To every young Nigerian: believe in yourself. Develop your talents. Acquire knowledge. Stand for justice. Respect diversity. Serve your community. Hold leaders accountable. And, most importantly, become the kind of leader you wish to see in Nigeria.

The Nigeria of our dreams will not be built by government alone. It will be built by citizens who care, young people who participate, leaders who listen and institution that deliver.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of participating at the Abuja Business and Investment Expo.

The energy, ideas, and partnerships on display showed that Nigeria’s economic future is being built right here by young entrepreneurs and investors.

We then proceeded to the NEXT GEN 2026 INNOVATION CHALLENGE organized by the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI). It was inspiring to see young Nigerians pitch bold, homegrown solutions in technology, agriculture, health, and the green economy.

This is the Nigeria we are working for at the NATIONAL YOUTH ASSEMBLY OF NIGERIA (NYAN) a Nigeria where youth move from idea to enterprise, and from innovation to impact.

I commend NBTI , Abuja Investment and all partners for creating platforms that turn youth talent into businesses that create jobs and solve national problems. NYAN remains committed to supporting policies that fund innovation and scale youth-led businesses.

The future is Nigerian. The future is young. 🇳🇬

Yesterday was all about enterprise and innovation

1. Abuja Business & Investment Expo connecting businesses, investors and opportunities.
2. NEXT GEN 2026 INNOVATION CHALLENGE by NBTI where young Nigerians pitched solutions that will shape our tomorrow.

At NYAN, we believe in moving youth from ideas to industries.
The talent is here. The solutions are here. What we need now is support to scale.

Kudos to NBTI, Abuja Investment and all organizers. The future belongs to us.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of addressing the press on behalf of the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN) and the National Youth Political Coalition (NYPC), where I reaffirmed our commitment to advocating for policies that improve the lives of Nigerian youths and strengthen our nation.

I called on government at all levels to:

1. Create more jobs for young people.
2. Invest in education, technology, innovation, and agriculture.
3. Strengthen security across the country.
4. Accelerate infrastructure development for sustainable economic growth.

I also emphasized that democracy thrives on a strong and responsible opposition that offers practical solutions rather than mere criticism. Nigeria needs leaders who place the national interest above personal ambition and politics.

While acknowledging progress made in some sectors, I stressed that public office holders must remain transparent, accountable, and focused on delivering tangible results for the Nigerian people.

I welcomed the passage of the State Police Bill and urged both the Federal and State Governments to ensure its effective implementation to improve security nationwide.

Furthermore, I renewed our call for the establishment of:

1. A Youth Development Commission** to coordinate and drive youth empowerment initiatives.
2. A Physical Development Commission (PDC)** to monitor government-funded infrastructure projects, ensure quality execution, promote accountability, and guarantee that development reaches every community, especially in rural areas.
3. A Women Rights Commission** to strengthen the protection and advancement of women's rights.

Our coalition remains independent and issue-driven. We are prepared to support any political party or candidate whose policies genuinely promote youth empowerment, good governance, national unity, and economic development.

Our support for any candidate in the upcoming elections will be based on competence, commitment, integrity, and sound policies not political affiliation.

Nigeria comes first. The youth come first. The future starts now.
