Last night was special. Very special. It's not only about rockin out in style and witnessing four outstanding bands. It's also about friends from different countries and continents (!) crossin paths at our show. It's about people becoming friends with people they haven't met before. It's about kids havin their first ever stagedive at a concert. It's about old heads revivin their mosh styles. It's about deeply caring about your community and friends. It's about so much more.

Punk life is the shit. Living this life in a Bavarian hicktown in the middle of nowhere is the best thing in the world. And we're truly proud of it.

Thanks and love to all the bands that slayed big time and to every guest and member that showed up, danced, sang and went crazy. We surely don't take this for granted. ❤️ taken in Burgkeller-Bar Burghausen by @useless.eaters

𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 - "𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐭"

In what, in my humble opinion, is turning out to be a glorious year for underground punk, @useless.eaters finally breaks a decade-long silence and puts the damn cherry on top of the cake!
I’m not going to talk about Seth Sutton’s career all over again. I’ve already talked about this guy many times: his epic beginnings, the influence of angular European music on the sound of a guy originally from Memphis, and that enviable, prodigious mind, always minimal and angular, from which nothing but pure gold seems to come. Honestly, I can’t think of a single mistake this guy has made. And if he ever has, they’d probably be huge achievements for any other musician.
If you’re going to discover Useless Eaters for the first time through this video, I envy you. For a music obsessive like me, discovering this guy was like running into a genius on the level of Jay Reatard, who he worked alongside early on, or the grumpy Mark E. Smith... Somebody might say I’m going too far here... Hell no, not at all! And it’s not just that he has that incredible level of quality that very, very few people can reach. He also has that ability to be insanely prolific, something only true prodigies like those two have ever really had. Maybe this sounds strange for his first album in almost a decade, but during those years, mostly spent over in the old continent, he’s been involved in a whole bunch of bands, always with that same twisted, sideways character. The fact is, if you take a look at his catalogue on Discogs, you’ll see that between 2009 and 2016 his creative output was absolutely frantic, always on fantastic labels, now joined, as it was always going to be, by @totalpunk45s... It had to happen.
Useless Eaters, after a first single last year on the legendary Goodbye Boozy, is back today through the front door — the only way this guy knows how to come back — with his first album in a decade. And no, I’m not going to forgive him for making us wait this long. The only thing that makes me feel better is seeing that, in the end, every single damn second of the wait was worth it!
