Metropolitan Ministries is a non-profit organization that works to care for individuals and families who are homeless or are at risk to becoming homeless. They also offer many services like providing food, housing, and essential recovery services. Happy National Physician Associate Week from the USF Pre-PA Society! 🩺✨ This week, from October 6th to 12th, we are excited to honor the incredible work and dedication of PAs everywhere. We are starting the week by paying tribute to the visionary founder of our profession, Dr. Eugene Stead Jr. His pioneering work at Duke University in 1965 laid the foundation for the vital role PAs play in healthcare today. We are proud to follow in his footsteps and to be part of a profession with such a rich history and profound impact. by @usfprepa

We will be partnering with American Cancer Society and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to volunteer for Making Strides Tampa Bay on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 from 7:30 - 10:30AM at Raymond James Stadium! Hello Pre-PA members! We are excited to announce our first volunteer event for the month of October! For our first event we will be beautifying and cleaning up Copeland Park just minutes from the USF Main Campus! This event was made possible with the help of Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful (@keeptbb) providing us with the supplies (gloves, trash bags, etc.) necessary to make Copeland Park as clean as possible. WHEN: Saturday, October 10th, 2026 @ 10AM - 12PM WHERE: Copeland Park 11001 N 15th St, Tampa, FL 33612 To sign-up: 1)Register on Bulls Connect first! 2)Fill out the Google form in our bio! ATTIRE: Acceptable attire includes a t-shirt, shorts or jeans, and sneakers. Please make sure to wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty, possibly torn or stained. NO flip-flops, Toms, Crocs, or any open toed/back shoes. Hey Pre-PA Members! We are excited to announce our third volunteering opportunity of the semester for this upcoming Saturday, September 26th, 2026! Keep Pinellas Beautiful is an organization dedicated to the conservation and beautification of the Pinellas natural environment through community engagement and education! In this event, we will be tasked with beautifying and cleaning up Crescent Lake Park in St. Petersburg by picking up trash and litter. All supplies will be provided including gloves, safety vests, waders, trash bags, pickers, sunscreen, bug spray and hand sanitizer. A water refill station will be available. In an effort to expand our community outreach, this event is a little further away from USF Tampa Campus than usual; however, like always, we will be offering and encouraging carpooling for those who may need a ride! If you are in need of a ride, please indicate so when you fill out the Google form for this event! WHERE: Please meet up at the storage unit in the TASCO Building parking lot at Crescent Lake Park - 1320 5th Street North St. Petersburg, FL 33701. TIME: 8:30AM - 11:30AM. Please arrive a few minutes early to sign in. WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear closed toed shoes such as boots or sneakers and clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. We recommend bringing a hat, sunglasses, and refillable water bottle. PARKING: Available in the lot onsite. Carpooling is encouraged!
