STUDENT WORK | RELIQUARY

In Professor Nancy Sanders’ studio, students explored the idea of the reliquary as a space for holding something sacred.

Inspired by a fascination with engines, this project explores mechanical invention as a form of craftsmanship and considers how AI and advanced technologies are transforming processes once rooted in hands-on making.

Kyle Clark, whose portfolio was selected for High Commendation by the SACD faculty. His work was recognized for exceptional accomplishment in design, development, and presentation. He will also be a finalist for the 2026-2027 Outstanding Advanced Portfolio Award.

USF GOLF COURSE REDEVELOPMENT

In Professor Trent Green’s studio, students explored the redevelopment of the USF Golf Course, considering new possibilities for the site and its relationship to the university.

The project focused on creating connectivity between studio spaces while activating the ground level through gathering, movement, and shared spaces.

Sofia Muniz Rubero, whose portfolio was selected for High Commendation by the SACD faculty. Her work was recognized for exceptional accomplishment in design, development, and presentation. She will also be a finalist for the 2026-2027 Outstanding Advanced Portfolio Award.

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT | OUTSTANDING THESIS AWARD

Selected by a jury of distinguished out-of-state architects and designers, Connor Clevenger received the Outstanding Thesis Award for his Master’s Project, Pictures of You, recognizing outstanding achievement in advanced architectural research and design.

Connor graduated from SACD earlier this year and has since returned to the School as a faculty member

Reception for An Evening with the Arts is well underway! Free food, architecture models, enriching conversations and shows tonight that you won’t want to miss. Architecture Lecture Series with Kevin Cavenaugh is starting now at 6:30 in Barness Music Hall, and then the USF Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble begins at 7:30.

Architecture Lecture and Jazz Enzemble are free to attend, though Jazz requires a ticket.

BOSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY ADDITION
