If you’re planning to visit Swarnagiri Temple, here are a few tips to make your experience even more special.

🛕 Best Time to Visit: Try to reach by 3–4 PM. The waiting time for darshan depends on the queue you choose.

🌅 Don’t Miss the Sunset: Around 5:30 PM, head to the spot shown in the reel and spend some peaceful time there. By 6:10 PM, the temple looks absolutely magical in the golden evening light.

✨ A View to Remember: While returning, turn around and catch a glimpse of the beautifully illuminated temple from the highway. It’s a sight you’ll want to experience for yourself!

🎟️ Darshan Tips: Weekends can get very crowded, so weekdays are preferable. If you visit on a weekend, special darshan tickets may help reduce waiting time. We opted for the ₹300-per-person ticket and completed darshan in about 10 minutes. Ticket prices and waiting times may vary.

📵 Important: Mobile phones are not allowed inside the temple, so remember to deposit yours at the designated counter before entering.

Stepping into Bidar Fort feels like travelling back in time. Surrounded by magnificent stone walls, ancient gateways and peaceful pathways, this historic fort holds centuries of stories within its walls. There is something truly magical about walking through a place where history, architecture and tranquillity come together.

Built around 1427 during the reign of the Bahmani Sultanate, Bidar Fort became an important centre of power when Bidar was made the capital. Its impressive fortifications, intricate architecture and grand gateways reflect the artistic brilliance and architectural heritage of that era.

Today, the fort is more than just a historical monument. It is a reminder of a glorious past, a place where every arch tells a story and every pathway invites you to slow down and admire the beauty around you. Bidar Fort was included in India's tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2014, recognising its historical and cultural significance.

Standing here, surrounded by centuries of history, you realise that some destinations leave you with more than photographs; they leave you with memories that stay forever. ❤️
