A Coward With A Badge

A couple of nights ago
as I was working my
night shift for TowerEV,

A fleet company partnered with
Uber, and I was looking to
pick up a passenger and I

Made a honest mistake
of making a wrong turn
where only authorized vehicles

Are able to go and
the female security guard was so
kind to tell me where to go and

To make a U-turn and
that’s what I proceeded to do
but this coward with a badge

Had to stroke his small,
Fragile, insignificant ego
Acting all swole behind

His badge and sheriff uniform,
He flashed his lights at me
As I making an U-turn

Drove his car right in front
of me, and started lecturing
me as if I was a child

About how I was not
Doing my job well enough
As an chauffeur and that

The rideshare signs are in
Front of the hospital and
Mind you that I have never

Been to this hospital before
and for him to belittle me
and make me feel less than

By saying that I should not be
Driving anymore and I am
Pissed off and you do not

Make a big Samoan mad
Trust me, I don’t even want
To see my own anger

For it is grotesque,
Believe me when I say it,
He was fortunate that I

Kept my composure and drove away
Because I know that if I
Would of let my anger get

The best of me, my wife would have
Been a widow, and instead of me
Making it home, I would have been

Dead because if I would of
Stepped out of my car,
He would of shot me dead

Because these cowards hide
behind badges, hide under sheets,
Hide behind law enforcement so

I knew that I didn’t want to fight
A battle that I knew was rigged
From the jump, and that I had

No chance of winning and I
Did not want to be on a
T shirt saying rest in peace

So I kept my peace within
And let that coward with
A badge go, that rotisserie pig

Got lucky, trust and believe,
For he could have been
Cooked on that earth oven

Like the Samoans prepared food,
Yet, I also know that I get
To be alive to tell this story

For me and the LA sheriffs or
Law enforcement never get along,
So be careful how you move

Because there is always
A coward with a badge looking to
Flex their Vienna sausage sized ego

Peace.

Happy 40 years of life to me. I am thankful for have been here for this long. I didn’t think that I would be here this long being at so many funerals for loved ones dying at a young age. No More NBA For Me

As I first grader,
I was intrigued by the
athletes of the NBA,

The National Basketball Association.
My favorite team was the Los Angeles Lakers.
My favorite Laker and player was

Earvin “Magic” Johnson.
I loved the way he passed
the ball. The way how he handled
the ball and was the floor general.

He can make any player on his team
look like a superstar. I remember watching
Michael Jordan play on television and

I rooted for every team that
went against the Chicago Bulls
in the NBA Finals

Whether if it was the Lakers,
Blazers, Suns, Sonics, and Jazz
I wanted to be that rebel because
mostly everybody was going for the Bulls

Playing NBA Jam on my
Sega Genesis and then NBA Live
on PlayStation one

Then moving onto the Sega Dreamcast
With the first NBA 2K with Allen Iverson
on the front cover, it was fun to play

At the parks too making buzzer beaters
practicing my post moves, boxing out
for rebounds, shooting jumpers and
enjoying my time on the court

Kobe Bryant was my second favorite
Laker and player as he was an
assassin on the hardwood floors

Willing his way to win by any
means for that losing was never
an option for him, as he hit

game winning shots, scoring 81 points,
always having the mamba mentality
even when he lost to Detroit and Boston
in the NBA Finals, he would bounce back

winning against the Magic and Boston
Then he would mamba out in his
last game scoring 60 points

I always felt that when Doctor
Jerry Buss died, the Los Angeles Lakers
would never be the same

I’m thankful to have watched
Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Isiah Thomas,
Hakeem Olajuwon, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant,
Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, John Stockton,

Stephen Curry, Dwayne Wade, Dirk Nowitzki,
and many others but I knew that this would
be the last season that I would watch

the NBA. I love the game and sport of
basketball but I miss the old NBA. I miss
the physical play, the rivalries, the larger

than life personalities, the passion, when
the players used to care, when the all
star game was fun to watch, now
not so much, I rather use my time

for something else now, as I am getting
older, no more NBA for me.
