This is me running my first marathon. I really don’t know how to put in words how I feel. I just want to use this opportunity to say thank you.
Thank you @instagram for adjusting my algorithms. All the post I saw when I scrolled through my feeds. All my fellow netizens that I randomly chatted to. All the people I said I was going to pray for…. I want to say thank you. At the start on the race, I had my girlfriends on the line. @obiamakanwando @buchikb @mimikings nene ibeh. At mile 21, I spoke to my sister @fabchito .After this, all I did was pray. I forgot my physical body and I prayed. I saw my longtime friend @cj_pumpn and his friend (who I have never met) at mile 22/23 and the hug and the encouragement was just so powerful it drove me through the next 2 miles. The hallmark was seeing my family @ladyannewelsh @sarah_okonkwo and Maks at the finish line. My twin girls screaming from the crowd is a feeling I can’t describe. It turned my tears to joy!!!
People I ran my first full Marathon via @mkmarathon !!! I didn’t walk… I ran 26.2 miles in 4hrs 10mins. To all my gym buddies, all the trainers that gave me all the tips and good lucks that flooded my watsapp and instagram. , @beverlymtd2020 Tahera, @maybyoga @clinton.keen76 , @_emilybfitness @not_justnails Ms Claire… etc… THANK YOU ❤️#naijagirl#marathon#sports#winning#hustleandbustle #mkmarathon#run#love taken in Milton Keynes by @usomie

#bathhalf #runner#athlete Thank you to everyone who supported me and who brought me to this point. It started off as a casual chat with @maybyoga about 5 months ago to actually finishing the race 2 hours short of my predicted finish time. This was a true test. My younger self is still in awe.
