As the local nonprofit governing body of tennis in New York, parts of northern New Jersey and a small piece of Connecticut, our mission is to grow tennis to inspire healthier people and communities—not only through sanctioned tournaments, but also with partnerships, community engagement, event pop-ups and more 🎾

Rallying for a good cause 🩷

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so we’re spotlighting the annual Pink Out Tournament at Webster Thomas High School, located in a suburb of Rochester, N.Y. This year’s event brought together 50 players, coaches and supporters to raise funds for @cscrochester, which provides free support to breast cancer patients and survivors.

We were honored to supply pink tennis balls to help support this event!

Last night, we officially lit up McCarren 🎾✨

After two years of grassroots fundraising, planning and volunteer effort led by the @mccarrentennisorg community, all seven public tennis courts at McCarren Park are now fully illuminated.

The $300,000 Light Up McCarren project was made possible through @nycparks’ Adopt A Park program, with major grant support from @usta_eastern and @usta, and contributions from players, volunteers, donors, local businesses and community partners.

The opening brought together tennis, public space and the neighborhood around it, with free programming for kids and adults, first rallies under the lights and a celebration across the courts.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life, and to the many partners who supported it along the way.

More court time. More public access. More tennis after dark.

Sometimes tennis isn’t about anything other than community. 🫶🏼

When USTA Eastern came with the vision for Black Tennis Night, we knew exactly who to call.

Alex from Slice Girls Tennis Club and Jasmine from DFW Black Tennis were just two of the founders who rallied around the idea. Along with 12+ POC-founded tennis communities from around the world, they showed up and made the night what it was.

Different cities. Different clubs. One community.

This was Black Tennis Night.

Last weekend’s Adapted Sectionals at Riverside Park brought the true spirit of the game to life, with players teaming up for an unforgettable afternoon of unified doubles!

🤔 What's Unified Doubles?
This format brings one neurotypical player together with an adapted athlete.

Big congratulations to our champion and finalist teams who just punched their tickets to the national championships in Orlando, Florida, this October ✈️

🥇 Champions: Mateo Pai & Dexter D’Souza
🥈Finalists: Jeremy Arellano & Vincent Leale

Both adapted athletes, Jeremy and Mateo, have represented Eastern in past National Unified Doubles Tournaments!
