Last Saturday, our students participated in an interprofessional disaster simulation with students from nursing, pharmacy, public health, and social work. A tornado hit during a wheelchair basketball game and students had to triage and provide care until EMS arrived. Then they collaborated in interprofessional teams in the shelter to meet the needs of community members affected by the tornado. Thank you to all the volunteers who participated! by @utamsat

A huge thank you to @rvreiff for spending time with our Year 2 MSAT students today and sharing his experience, perspective, and lessons from a career in athletic training and sports medicine.

There is tremendous value in giving students the opportunity to learn directly from leaders who have helped shape our profession. We appreciate Ralph investing in the next generation of athletic trainers!

We’re in! 🙌

The UTA MSAT Program officially has a new home.

There’s still some organizing to do and a little AV work left to finish, but we couldn’t be happier with how the space is coming together. More importantly, we’re excited about what it will allow our students to do—learn, practice, collaborate, and develop as future athletic trainers.

We can’t wait to put this space to work.

Big day for the MSAT Program! 📦

Today is officially move-in day for our new space. We’re excited to get settled, make it our own, and create a space that supports learning, collaboration, and the continued growth of our program.

A new space. A new chapter. More to come. 👀

Big progress this week in the future home of UTA’s Master of Science in Athletic Training program.

The ceiling is complete, lighting is in, doors are installed, and the lab space is really starting to take shape. The mirrors give a much better sense of our vision for the space.

Still a little work left to do.

Excited for our students to get in here. 🤙

Construction update 🚧

Flooring is down, lighting is in, and the ceiling is starting to come together. It’s exciting to see the space begin to take shape after months of planning and construction.

Getting closer. 🤙

Progress is underway on the new home of UTA’s Master of Science in Athletic Training program in Pickard Hall!

It may not look like much just yet, but this space is being transformed into a new environment for hands-on learning, collaboration and the development of future athletic trainers. We’re excited to watch it come together and share more updates along the way.
