📚 Summer Reading SpotlightThis summer, Dr. Jonathan Ring, director of Undergraduate Studies, has been reading "The Complete Gardener" by @themontydon. "The book is full of useful information, but I mostly enjoy Monty Don’s writing style and the tidbits of wisdom that come from a lifetime of work. Summer is the perfect time to indulge in being an amateur and experience learning something new – which is important if you want to be a good teacher!"What’s on your summer reading list? 💼 Baker Interns in ActionThis summer, sophomore Public Affairs major Bimo Sapkota is interning with @nicenashville, an organization that works to ensure refugees and immigrants in Middle Tennessee have the opportunities and resources they need to thrive.Bimo works with youth from a wide range of cultural and national backgrounds, helping facilitate educational activities and navigate language and cultural differences.“Working with students who are adapting to a new language, culture, and community has given me a new perspective on the challenges families face and the importance of meeting people where they are.”Through experiences like this, Baker students are gaining new perspectives, building practical skills, and making an impact in communities across Tennessee and beyond.#BePartOfTheSolution by @utbakerschool
