there is no overlap between stalking and love. If someone is showing up unannounced, calling repeatedly, following you, damaging property, refusing to take no for an answer, this is NOT love and there is help available.

Being young and Native in this country is not easy. Take comfort in knowing that you are powerful, protected, and prayed for by our ancestors. Strength and resiliency are woven into our DNA. Accept nothing less than respect, love, and honesty. by @utfav1

Hundreds of thousands of Native children were forced into boarding schools in the last two centuries. At one point, there were at least 526 Indian Boarding Schools in the U.S. Make no mistake, these are not institutions created with the intent to nurture, educate, and care for Native children. These were work camps. The children that were forced to attend regularly faced physical, sexual, and mental abuse. They were starved, held captive, and dishonored even in death. The harm caused by the Indian boarding school systems in North America created wounds that transcend time. These wounds continue to impact the individuals that attended, our families, our communities, and our Nations.
