Meet Alex Gardner!

What is your favorite way to decompress after a long day of class??
-Working out, making a (decaf after 5pm) moka pot coffee, and listening to music/reading!

What is your favorite thing to do in Memphis or favorite thing about being in Memphis??
-Frequent one of the many coffee shops around town & going for walks at Shelby Farms!

Best advice for pre-PAs??
-Take inventory of your needs/wants and habits well before starting school, and ensure that the program you wish to attend (and the career itself) truly aligns with those things. In other words, will you be happy? Will you stay sane? Will you succeed? Will you be glad that you attended that program and used it as your career launchpad?

🤸‍♂️FUN FACT🤸‍♂️
I am a huge Spanish literature nerd. I particularly love the “Magical Realism” genre and its biggest authors (Carlos Fuentes, Jorge Luis Borges, Gabriel García Márquez),and I actually have a journal in which I detail my interpretations and opinions of the works I read! taken in Memphis, Tennessee by @uthscpaprogram

Best advice for Pre-PAs??
-The application process can feel really intimidating, but it’s honestly not as scary as you think! Talk to other pre-PAs going through the same process, reach out to current PA students or recent grads, and don’t be afraid to ask questions! Having people to lean on makes the whole process so much easier!
