A24’s “Primetime,” directed by Lance Oppenheim, premiered in theaters Sept. 25, revisiting the legacy of NBC’s “To Catch a Predator.”

The film portrays host Chris Hansen as though he is driven by ratings and financial gain. Hansen, who was not consulted during production, has called the film an “insult” and is funding advertisements to challenge its portrayal of him.

The film also revisits the 2006 death of Texas prosecutor Bill Conradt, an event that raised serious questions about the ethics of the show’s production.

For a major company, advertisements typically go through multiple stages of development, production and approval.

Students and Martin residents wonder how something that appears so obvious could make it to the public’s eye.

Tennessee does not have a state minimum wage and workers generally fall under the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.

Students have many concerns about finding employment that provides reasonable pay while allowing them to balance work with their academic responsibilities.
