After a sold-out run at last year’s Under the Radar festival, Obie Award-winning actor, playwright and director Roger Guenveur Smith (UTR Artist 2026) finds a new stage at New York Theatre Workshop (@nytw79) for his one-man show ‘In Honor of Jean-Michel Basquiat.’ Featuring live sound design by Marc Anthony Thompson, witness an intimate one-man show celebrating Guenveur Smith’s friend and collaborator Jean-Michel Basquiat. Under the Radar is all about what happens when you put hundreds of creative people in a room together. Now what happens when you add drinks? Come out with us and let’s test it out!

Whether this is your first time behind the UTR curtain or your 22nd (we’re looking at you, Mark Russell), we welcome you to UTR Unveiled to share real joy, cold drinks, hot goss and fresh news about what we’ll be doing with you in January.

The party goes all night, but we strongly encourage you to come early. Bring your own t-shirt, tote, jacket, or other piece of clothing and join us between 8 and 9 PM for live on-site screen printing. We’ll send you home with custom upcycled merch with our exclusive 2027 designs!

Bring a friend. Make a friend. Turn a look. Get your Radar on!
