We had a great time hosting our annual Kathryn Hammond Memorial Regatta! 🪽 Kathryn Hammond was a UT Sailing Team alum and teacher who tragically passed in 1999. This regatta was named after her to honor her life and her contribution to the team. We want to extend a HUGE thank you to all of the teams that made it out last weekend!! by @utsailingteam

Congrats Reema!!! Reema is from Dallas, Tx & her major was computational biology 🧫. She was on the team since her freshman year. Her favorite memory was sailing in the Baldwin Wood regatta last year and spending halloween in New Orleans ⚜️👻! Her plans after grad are to take gap year to do research before applying to md-phd programs 🩺👩‍⚕️

Congrats Alexa!!! Alexa was a biology major from Cancun & Houston ☀️. She’s been on the team since her junior year, and her favorite memory was during the Kathryn Hammond Memorial Regatta 2025 while they were waiting for the wind to pick up. The team started swimming and kayaking in lake Travis and it was genuinely so much fun 🚣‍♀️🐠. Her post grad plans are still TBD, but she plans to travel a ton ✈️🗺️. by @utsailingteam

Congrats Reese!! Reese is from Somserset, New Jersey. He majored in marketing, and post-grad he’s working in the travel industry in Southeast Asia 🗺️. Reese has been sailing since he was 9 years old, and he’s been on the team since his freshman year 🐣⛵️. His favorite memory is getting first in division A of Sailpack after 2 hours of sleep from finishing a school project last minute 🤩 by @utsailingteam
