A few more pics from my Nanami cosplay at VerseCon

One of my favorite things about Nanami is he plainly states a lot of things suck. I think it’s because he was trying to prepare Yuji for an unkind and harsh reality. Knowing my kid relates me to Nanami is heartwarming and I’m glad I can share interest in anime with her.

The last image is from a deleted account and was posted on Reddit at r/JuJutsuKaisen 5 years ago.

Kento Nanami from Jujutsu Kaisen

This was a fun day at #versecon and I took these pics on a side quest!

I don’t always connect with characters but #nanami definitely has strong appeal for me and I really liked the #anime The only other character from #jjk I might connect with is Gojo, but my daughter told me I fit Nanami better so I went with it.

Speaking of which, my favorite thing about this #cosplay is that my daughter cosplayed Yuji. 🖕😬😋

My second favorite thing about this cosplay was that if you lose the wig, the tie, and the suspenders then this is something I’d actually wear to work so it was really comfortable!

I have a few more pics I’ll post separately and Nanami will be seen again at SacAnime!

The song is one of my favorites and even thought it’s not what Nanami canonically likes I have a headcanon he would like Red Hot Chili Peppers!

A few photos from SacAnime Spring. It was my first time going. I made the last minute decision to go and I'm really glad that I did. I met some really cool and kind people. I’ve been saving this one for a while, knowing it’s the last of the photos from SacAnime Winter. A chance meeting with a super chill and awesome photographer outside the Geek Fashion Show led to these breathtaking photos.

I’m grateful for everyone I’ve met, both via the internet and in person. I live for the moments we share and the fandoms we gush to one another about. It’s nearly always whimsical and often rooted in fondness for shared joys and critiques. Anime, and cosplay in particular, has enriched my life and brought depth and community whereas only a void existed before.

Even though I didn’t take a whole lot of pics because I was with my family and in the moment, I had a great time at #versecon

My stepchild who took a photo with the Ravens asked to not have their photo uploaded showing their face because they’re an artist who entirely deplores AI.

They approved my edit of slapping a smiley over their face and was a really big Teen Titans fan when they were younger so they were A LOT more excited internally than they were showing.

Thank you to everyone I got to meet and especially to the cosplayers who have welcomed my old ass into the community. I’d bear hug the lot of you if it wouldn’t be weird as hell to do so. As a substitute for a hug please accept this word salad being weird and talking about giving acquaintances hugs.

I think the Angel Devil and Sailor Uranus pin will be a permanent addition to my work bag.

😇Not quite an angel and not quite a devil either.😈

🪽From the moment of his first onscreen appearance I knew I had to cosplay Angel Devil. I kin this character so freaking much!

🥇This is my very first cosplay post! I’m so proud of the amount of work I put into this and the end result! I have to get better with poses and staying in character but am still very happy with how it turned out.

📸Taken by my daughter on my iPhone.

📝Minor edits by me to remove wire and headband to make the halo look like it’s floating.

My daughter cosplayed Power with me but asked I don’t post any photos of her. I will respect her wishes.
