A sweet summary of our time together with my family in Nepal last month. I try to visit them every year if I can as my grandparents are getting old. Hope to see them next year too❤️🥰 #love #family

My first #trailrace and it happened to be this crazy tough course!! ⛰️🔥😅

Also this is my first race after May 2025. Thank you so much @mjovanoski once again for inviting me and allowing me to bring a friend! 🙏🏼☺️💗

I just restarted my running routine this year and it’s a challenge from being injured to losing my grandma which impacted me deeply 💔 to a heart condition 😣. I’m running only short runs these days but when I got MJ’s message I was still not sure if I should say “Yes”. I was definitely excited but also scared that I would not be able to do the elevation (also in reality the elevation is way higher than I thought it would be 😂).

After talking to my @chixrunthe6ix fam @denoja224 , I got courage to say YES to it. So glad I took this opportunity and brought my friend @soccershelley44 (who runs trails all the time - perfect match) along with my hubby @ishanroy8206 (cheerleader/driver 🤪). Thank you guys for everything!! 🥰❤️

We dressed up for Pride Month as the Pride run was happening in downtown. We got our faces painted by amazingly talented girls 🌈 ⚽️ 🇨🇦 ✨☺️.

Seeing so many familiar faces 😍, my nervousness was almost gone but less than 2 hours sleep was not helping me at all 🫩. After the third loop, I started feeling everything. Hamstrings started cramping but thank goodness my hubby got me some packs of salt 🧂. That definitely helped get through that last loop 💪🏼. Oh thanks to my big stick that I picked up from the forest towards the end of the third loop 🤣.

Finished the run at 2:41:39. I was definitely not there for pace but for fun and challenge myself to do the toughest course when I was not trained for it. But when I saw the elevation 2315ft, I felt super proud of myself!! 🔥💪🏼☺️

What a fun event!! 🤩 I will definitely come back and bring more friends!! But yes with some training 😅.

Thank you everyone for the love and support!! See you all next year!! ⛰️🫶🏼

The highlight of our run at @torontomarathon 😍 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

My heart is full! @mskrylance 🥰❤️

I had the worst training this time. I got injured 😣 too early on during my training block and I was on and off from the training for more than 6 weeks in total. But I made it to the start line and made it to the finish line with Katie hand in hand ☺️. We had the BEST TIME EVER!! 🤩I knew I would get leg cramps at some point and I planned to let her go but she stayed back with me. I am still in awe 🥹. Run-chat is the best way to go when you are not well prepared for the race.

I was thinking I would try for 2:30+ but I was loving the pace, our chat and the vibes 💃🏻. Even with leg cramps 15k onwards, we still manage to do 2:22:44. What a number! 🤩 @mskrylance you are an angel 😇. Thank you for pushing me, walking with me when I needed and pacing me for the last 6k. I still enjoyed those painful miles 😅.

Can’t wait to run with you again!!
Love you my #soulsista 👯‍♀️♥️

P.S: Failed to post my reel many times. Tried to recreate it but it’s not the same. Anyways unforgettable memories were made! ☺️

Please join us in welcoming our newest ambassador ❤️

Hi everyone!! 👋🏻 I am Yuva from Whitby, Ontario. I am honored and excited to be a part of the Toronto Marathon Ambassador team.

I am originally from Nepal and moved to the US for g Grad School. After working there for several years, I moved to Canada to join my husband in 2020, where I started my running journey - in my late 30s during the pandemic. Initially, I had no friends and family except my hubby and his family. Eventually, I met hundreds of new friends through running and I love this community. Running is a huge part of my life now.

I started running inside our unfinished basement in May 2020. After 4 weeks, I went outside to run with a makeshift bandana mask on since there was a shortage of proper masks. Also, I opened an account on Strava and joined the running/fitness challenges. 5k became 6k and then 10k. In July 2020, as one of the challenges on Strava, I ran my very first half marathon. It was a hot, humid and brutal run but I was proud of myself. After that, I ran one half marathon a month for about 2 years. One was even inside the kitchen!! Besides this crazy challenge, I ran 80% of Whitby streets on @Citystrides.

In May 2021, I joined the @whitbyrunninggroup. That’s how my running community started growing. Now I have a huge running family @running__waters, my virtual running family @chixrunthe6ix and my local parkrun family @whitbyparkrun.

My first official 5k race (Spring Run Off) was a gift from my fellow chix friend, Vee, in 2022 and then the next big race was a half marathon @torontomarathon in 2023. I always said I would never race a distance longer than 10k but my friend JoJo convinced me to do it. Glad I said yes to that and this year I ran my first ever Full marathon in Georgina to celebrate my 40th birthday in May.

My goal is to run a sub-2 hour half marathon one day! Never say never !
