Quarter one has come to an end.

We wrapped up the quarter with students on both Arusha and Moshi campuses having End of Quarter Interhouse Competitions.

It was a great opportunity for students to compete, have fun and celebrate the community successfully completing the quarter.

A big congratulations to all our students for taking part and giving it their all!

We wish you a restful break and an exciting new quarter ahead!

On 21 September, UWC East Africa joined the UWC communities around the world to cometogether to celebrate UWC Day under this year’s theme, “Action for Peace, Planet and People.”

Our students brought the theme to life through thought-provoking speeches, discussions and activities focused on peace, caring for our planet, and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

It was a day to listen, reflect, share ideas and, most importantly, remember that meaningful change can begin with the actions we take within our own communities.

They navigated local routes, took in the landscapes around them and had the chance to challenge themselves, work together, and experience the country from a different perspective.

Rides Day was all about adventure, movement, teamwork and discovery with plenty of memorable moments along the way!

Our D1 Visual Art students at Arusha Campus started the new school year with an intuitive gestural painting exercise, exploring art without preconceived ideas or a fixed outcome. Instead, they were encouraged to trust their instincts, experiment freely, and allow their movements, marks, colours, and ideas to guide the process.

There was no pressure to create a “perfect” final piece, the focus was on the journey, discovery, and creative flow.

It’s a great way to begin the year: curious, open-minded, and ready to see where the creative process takes them.

Our MYP students recently had their first Outdoor Pursuits experience through MYP Campcraft!

Held at the Moshi Campus, Campcraft gave students a taste of the Outdoor Pursuits themes, Peaks, Reefs, Rides, and Plains through a mix of activities, challenges and outdoor experiences.

The experience was designed to introduce students to the spirit of the OP Programme while helping them build confidence, teamwork, and the skills they’ll need for future adventures.
