Today marks the beginning of Physical Therapy Month! This month and every other month of the year we celebrate and recognize the physical therapists who shape and strengthen the profession every day.

We want to thank our incredible DPT faculty for contributing to one of the strongest PT programs in the country, and for dedicating themselves to the knowledge and success of our students and their patients.

We want to thank our students currently and previously enrolled in our program for all of their hard work and commitment to the profession as they learn and practice under the guidance of our faculty.

And we would finally like to thank EVERYONE who believes in our practice, participated in PT, and/or contributed to the PT profession in any way. In many ways you all have positively impacted the profession as we strive to advocate for our patients, our students, our faculty, and the health and wellbeing of every person we encounter.

Thank you PTs!

Last week the GROW Japan Team 2026 wrapped up their international adventure! It is difficult to sum up all of the unique, exciting, and memorable activities they did on their travels, but here are some photos to show!

We were elated to hear that all 4 students that traveled were DPT students: Haidyn H. (DPT3), Celine P. (DPT3), Marybel M. (DPT2), & Victoria C. (DPT2)! We would like to give a HUGE thank you to our Trip Leader Haidyn H. for not only spearheading the trip when the team was in Japan, but for brainstorming, planning, communicating, and translating through every step to make the trip possible before departure.

These students had the opportunity to visit 11 different sites varying from local to national level significance in rehabilitation, including the Japanese Physical Therapy Association! New technology, evolution of PT, interprofesional communication, current practices, and sports research were just a FEW of the concepts learned on this trip.

Thank you to our community in Japan for allowing our students to connect and learn from each of your organizations and clinicians. We are extremely thankful for your hospitality and kindness as our students learned from you and had the chance to present on our PT services in the US.

To learn more about our GROW program, follow @globalrehabuw and go to their website for more information!
