NCAA Championships- Day Two

We had two throwers in the shotput competition this year and they competed well. Incredibly tough competition, taking a 16.89 to make finals. @benyoungworth had a great series with his final throw (16.67) looking technically sound- placing 12th. @jakegar71 ended up getting into finals after his second and best throw (17.48), placing him at a 6th place All-American. These boys have been working hard all year, finally now on the big stage the results are showing.

NCAA Championships- Day One

Very proud of @anthony_staryszak for competing at this meet. Truly, he put on a great show and competed along with the crew- a great way to end his career as an Eagle. In the sixth round he clutched up a throw of 53.10 moving him to a 4th place All-American. While this may not have been the exact competition he was expecting, he showed up when it mattered and got the job done.

All love

The calm before the storm…

Before all of our events this weekend, a brief post to appreciate the crew that came together for nationals this outdoor. Each day during this 3 day meet we will have our throwers competing and we could not be more excited. It’s been a few years since we’ve had this many throwers at one national meet- something that won’t get taken for granted.

WIAC Champion 🥇
WIAC Team Champions 🏆

Awesome weekend with the team, and managed to secure a win in by far the most competitive discus competition of my career. Four athletes over 53m (174’), with the lead switching 5 times out of 6 rounds.

Also, huge shoutout to @dannybeckphotos for capturing the moment. 📸🎥
