Congratulations to Carson, Sriram, Henry, Jack, and Max, our 2026 Balanced Man Scholarship recipients! These five individuals have demonstrated exceptional dedication to academics, leadership, personal growth, and the values that define the Balanced Man Ideal. We are proud to recognize their accomplishments and excited to see what they achieve at the University of Washington.

Since 2013, the Washington Beta chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has proudly offered the Balanced Man Scholarship, awarding over $36,000 to outstanding incoming students. This year, under the leadership of our Balanced Man Scholarship Chairman @marcello.hamidi, we are excited to continue that tradition by awarding $6,000 in scholarships.

The Balanced Man Scholarship is rooted in SigEp’s belief in developing both a Sound Mind and a Sound Body, a philosophy inspired by the ancient Greeks. We believe that success is not measured by academic achievement alone, but also by the character, discipline, and commitment to personal development that individuals demonstrate in their everyday lives.

Since 1990, @officialsigep has recognized incoming college students who embody these principles. Today, SigEp chapters across more than 150 universities collectively award over $300,000 in scholarships annually, celebrating young men who distinguish themselves through academic excellence, leadership, health, and well-being.

At this year’s Balanced Man Scholarship Banquet, we had the privilege of celebrating an incredible group of finalists. Among them were student government leaders, accomplished athletes, entrepreneurs, dedicated volunteers, and individuals who have already made meaningful contributions to their schools and communities. Each finalist brought a unique story and set of accomplishments, making this year’s selection process especially competitive.

Finally, thank you to the families, alumni, brothers, and volunteers who joined us for this year’s banquet. Your continued support makes this tradition possible, and we look forward to recognizing another outstanding group of students next year. taken in UW SigEp by @uwsigep

SigEp 🏡 is officially opening our Summer Live-In 👙🩳 Application.

We have:
🔥 A newly renovated roofdeck with activities (aka summer tanning), and catching unreal sunset/sunrises with the clearest view of the Cascades ⛰️ on ALL of Greek Row🏛️.

Music bumping, fun times, and something always going on in and out of the house.
TWO camping trips⛺️ at Lake Katchess, beautiful hikes, chill fishing trips🎣, sightseeing around the city, and exploring scenic areas like Whidbey Island, Port Angeles, etc.
A summer formal 🤵‍♂️🤵‍♀️
A house full of people who actually know how to have fun, keep it CLEAN, and enjoy the presence of each other.
