5 ★ Se ha convertido en uno de mis libros favoritos del 2026, sin duda alguna. Una de las cosas que más he disfrutado ha sido la dinamica entre los dos, es perfecta,
Ha sido como un soplo de aire fresco, la dinamica entre ellos es algo distinto a lo que suelo leer pero es exactamente lo que me gusta en un romance, los acts of service, los abrazos, los besos en la frente,…
No se pasan la mitad del libro dando vueltas sobre lo mismo, y por lo tanto, sin ver ni una pizca de romance ni del amor de uno por el otro, sino que el cariño se ha ido mostrando de manera organica y de una manera preciosa. Me encanta el aspecto de “storm chasers” (y si, he estado pensando continuamente en “twisters” lol). Lo único malo es que sí que hay un third act breakup 😭😭

🇬🇧 4 ★ The moment I finished the second book, I already missed Idlewoods and these three characters who stole my heart: Penny, Alonso and Corey. These two books, despite being simple, reminded me what it meant to love, connect with and truly understand characters. I enjoyed them so much: every character we meet is interesting, with their own problems and their own role in the story, something I’ve been missing, because I feel like nowadays a lot of book characters are flat.

The setting is amazing, it transported me to Idlewood and made me feel like I was right there with them.

These books are super cozy and autumnal, even though the first one takes place during summer vacation.
I’m begging the author, please, to write a third book where we get to see Corey after everything that’s happened. His story felt too short to me, I want to see him succeed and be happy.

You should definitely read these books if you like books like “the raven boys” or films like “Practical Magic

🇪🇸 4 ★ Al instante de acabar el segundo libro ya echaba de menos Idlewood y a estos tres personajes que me han robado el corazón; Penny, Alonso y Corey. Han sido dos libros que, todo y ser sencillos, me han recordado lo que es amar, conectar y entender a los personajes. Los he disfrutado muchísimo: todos los personajes que se nos presentan son interesantes, tienen sus propios problemas y su propio rol en la trama, cosa que añoro leer, ya que tengo la sensación que hoy en día los personajes de muchos libros son planos.

La ambientación es maravillosa, me ha transportado a Idlewood y ha sido como estar allí mismo con ellos. Son libros super cozy y otoñales, aunque el primero sucede durante las vacaciones de verano.

Le pido a la escritora que, por favor, escriba un tercer libro en el que podamos ver a Corey después de todo lo vivido. Su historia se me ha quedado corta, quiero verlo triunfar y ser feliz.

Definitivamente leeros esta bilogia si os gustan los libros como “the raven boys” o las peliculas como “practical magic”. by @uxiasreads

[3,5★] La premisa de estos libros me encanta: Inez viaja a Egipto para encontrar cualquier rastro de sus padres desaparecidos y allá se encontrará con su tío y se unirá a él en una excavación arqueológica. Tiene realismo mágico, misterios y una que otra aventura. Necesito más libros con estas mismas vibes.

A continuación, explicaré cuáles creo que son sus dos puntos más débiles, pero aunque solo hable de lo que menos me ha gustado, no todo es malo; de hecho, la ambientación es espectacular, las escenas de acción bastante buenas y la intriga (sobre todo en el primer libro) me gustó mucho.

Por desgracia, esta biología acaba siendo muy plana. Inez nunca tiene un crecimiento real como persona; todos los errores que comete en el primer libro los vuelve a cometer en el segundo. Su ingenuidad no desaparece, algo que me desespera bastante. No solo eso, sino que a lo largo de la historia sucede una y otra vez lo mismo; todos los problemas con el tío son siempre los mismos, todas las disputas con el protagonista masculino siempre empiezan y acaban igual, es un perro que se muerde la cola constantemente.

Hablando del protagonista masculino, para mí ha sido un gran problema. No he podido confiar en él ni un segundo, el monólogo interno no muestra nada de remordimiento por lo que acaba sucediendo y tampoco muestra cariño ni amor por Inez (todo y que la escritora trata de hacernos entender que sí que existe).

Pero si estás buscando algo con las vibes de “The Mummy” definitivamente este es tu libro 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

[🇪🇸] 5 ★ Este libro me lo leí en diciembre, por lo que ya me queda un poco lejos. Pero puedo decir con certeza que fue un libro que me encantó, la quimica que hay entre los dos persoanjes es de las mejores que he leido en mi vida, necesito que mas libros me provoquen lo que estso dos personajes me hicieron sentir.

Sí que es ceirto que al principio era un poco reticente, porque la premisa del libro—que él sea el fantasma de las navidades pasadas—no me acababa de convencer. No suele ser algo que yo lea y me guste. Pero me sorprendió gratamente y acabé enamorada tato de la historia como de los protagonistas.

Eso sí, estar advertidas de que me hizo llorar a mares, pero vale la pena porque el final es precioso.

[🇬🇧] 5 ★ I read this book in December, so it’s been a while now. But I can say with certainty that I absolutely loved it; the chemistry between the two characters is some of the best I’ve ever read. I need more books to make me feel the way these two characters made me feel.

It’s true that I was a bit hesitant at first, because the premise of the book—that he’s the Ghost of Christmas Past—didn’t quite convince me. It’s not usually the kind of thing I read and enjoy. But I was pleasantly surprised, and I ended up falling in love with both the story and the main characters.

That said, be warned that it made me cry like a baby, but it’s worth it because the ending is beautiful.

5 ★ [🇪🇸] Llevaba mucho tiempo con este libro en la estantería, pero por fin me atreví a leerlo, y sin duda es uno de los mejores libros de este año. La manera en la que Madeline escribe es simplemente increíble, te tiene enganchada desde el primer segundo y te permite sumergirte en la historia fácilmente. Una de las cosas que más me ha gustado es leer el crecimiento y la evolución de Circe; no he leído muchos libros en los que haya mucho espacio para estos crecimientos de personaje y es algo que agradezco.

Este libro es un retelling de la historia de la diosa Circe, que fue desterrada a una isla desierta como castigo por parte de Zeus, y a lo largo del libro vemos a diferentes personajes de la mitología.

[🇬🇧]This book had been sitting on my shelf for a long time, but I finally got around to reading it, and it’s definitely one of the best books of the year. Madeline’s writing is simply incredible; she hooks you from the very first moment and lets you dive right into the story. One of the things I liked most was reading about Circe’s growth and evolution; I haven’t read many books that give much space to this kind of character development, and it’s something I really appreciate.

This book is a retelling of the story of the goddess Circe, who was banished to a deserted island as punishment by Zeus, and throughout the book we encounter various characters from mythology.
