God is good. Always.

Many times, it may not feel like it.

Business Lessons From a Business Owner:

1. You are not your business. The point of creating a business is to give customers an experience, one that gets better each time.

2. Your customers are your best teachers. Pay attention, listen deeply, and take notes.

3. Sustainability matters. You have to stay in business to make your customers’ experiences worthwhile.

To anyone daring to start or keep going: I’m rooting for you. Keep showing up, keep improving, and keep giving people experiences they’ll never forget.

I reluctantly acquired my first degree in Accounting — mostly because of the Nigerian factor.

But after working in various accounting roles, serving as an Account Officer, and now working as an Accountant, my interest and confidence in the field has grown significantly.

Funny, considering I once absconded from ICAN — but here I am, gradually building real mastery in this profession. And I’m proud of that. It feels both exciting and liberating.

So, I’ve decided to start sharing and simplifying what I know about Accounting.

Because the best way to learn… is to teach.

From the moment I arrived, I was completely blown away by everything this hidden gem has to offer. Nestled in a serene and guarded estate at 30 Abuloma Road, Trans Amadi, the location is an absolute dream. It’s tucked away from the city’s hustle and bustle, surrounded by acres of lush, vibrant greenery that instantly makes you feel like you’ve escaped into a tranquil paradise. Yet, it’s still conveniently close to key spots in Port Harcourt, striking the perfect balance between seclusion and accessibility.

The hotel itself is a masterpiece of luxury and comfort. I stayed in a room right by the restaurant and reception, and let me tell you, the space was incredible, so spacious and thoughtfully designed, blending modern elegance with art paintings, a cozy, homely vibe that made me never want to leave. My room came equipped with air conditioning that kept things cool and refreshing, plus a smart TV that wasn’t just loaded with Netflix but also had a YouTube channel. I loved how convenient it was to watch my own videos and listen to some cool worship songs in the morning which really set the tone for a peaceful day. The private bathroom was spotless, with a fantastic shower that felt like a mini escape every time I stepped in.

The amenities at Gordonsville Escape are top-notch. The staff clearly put so much care into making every detail perfect.If anyone’s curious, I’d be happy to share a detailed review of the menu and pricing—just let me know!

The staff were the cherry on top, they were warm, attentive, helpful people and genuinely eager to make my stay unforgettable. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, from arranging a seamless check-in to offering recommendations for exploring the area. Gordonsville Escape Boutique Hotel isn’t just a place to stay, it’s a full-on retreat that pampers you in every way possible. If you’re looking for the ultimate staycation in Port Harcourt, this is it. I can’t wait to come back.
