This was last day we spent together. Who knew a pool would change our lives?!

And now here we are.

One year later.

Somehow, we've lived an entire year without you here physically, and yet there are moments when your presence still feels so close. It feels like a millions years and 1 second all at the same time.

I'm convinced that our love is too strong for us to not be around each other still. Love can't die. Energy can't be destroyed.

This year has stretched me in ways I never imagined. Yet I feel like you're still here hyping me up. Telling me there's nothing I can't do. How dope I am and "let's get this shit done!"

I've learned that grief isn't something you get over... it's not something you control... instead it's a constant longing and hole you carry. It sucks. I hate it. I hate that this is our reality.

Baby Baby our girls have grown so much. There are so many moments I wish you could be physically here to experience. I knoooooow you would be running me crazy with Xoie! She's just as silly as you.

They miss you. I miss you. There are still days when your absence feels impossible to accept. I cry so much. They said the tears are how you feel the love so I will always let them flow freely.

And somehow, in ways I cannot fully explain, we still feel you. I feel you hugging me through anxiety. I hear you telling me "THE STOVE TOO DAMN HIGH!"

Love doesn't end.

We will always speak your name. We will always share stories. I see pieces of you in the girls every day.

I appreciate every time you've visited me in dreams. I rush to go to sleep just so I can see you. Those are my moments of comfort that feel too real to ignore. Some things are beyond understanding and are simply understood with my heart.

I know you fought to stay. I know how deeply you love us.

One year later, we carry both grief and gratitude. Grief because we miss you so much. Gratitude because we had you at all. 14 years of amazing memories. 14 years of laughs. 14 years of an amazing love from an extraordinary man.

Baby Baby you are forever loved. Forever missed. Forever with us. 🤍

I told her I was going to the B2K concert solo and she said NO YOU NOT and drove 8 hrs to go with me. 🤭

Bonus points for her putting the girls curtains up for me so now their room is complete 👌🏾 10/10 highly recommend!
