#horses #cyclist #courtesy #wakeup #newforest When passing a horse rider, cyclists should allow at least 2 metres (6.5 feet) of space and pass slowly at under 10 mph. Allow ample room so the horse has space to move unpredictably, and never pass on the inside of the horse.Safe passing requires adhering to several key guidelines and etiquette:Alert the Rider: Do not sneak up quietly from behind. Slow down and let the rider know you are there by either ringing your bicycle bell well in advance or calling out politely.Avoid Sudden Noises: Do not shout, rev your gears, or make sudden movements as horses are easily startled.Heed Rider Signals: If the rider raises a hand, signals for you to slow down, or asks you to stop, do so immediately. The horse may be reacting to something in the environment and needs time to calm down.Wait for a Clear View: Do not attempt to squeeze past if there is oncoming traffic or a narrow road that prevents you from giving the full 2-metre gap. by @v8_omfg
#gone #bmw #not for me #cars M340i Tourer #blue almost 6 months old, they are ok, a bit small, I get the connected bit because that cock pit is so small you’re touching it everywhere, narrow front screen, view is restricted, I was ok I’ve worn crash helmets, rear passengers are ok if younger than say 6 or adults have no legs. Dog in the boot no way, not that I use the boot for that. I ordered the sunroof….. dam yes the head room is reduced, I’m 5’8” so not an issue but that also reduces the visible height out of the rear window which like most estates is already small. Steering ok. Not a top end motorway crunching machine, depends on your levels, that engine didn’t do it for me, not slow but pretty gutless at top end and when pushed felt like it wasn’t happy, I refer to the same 300+ mile round trip I’ve done for 37 years in every car I’ve had. Like all new cars tech is making simple things like operating the ventilation a nightmare, the amount of bleeps and dongs in that car was crazy, I gave up trying to mess about turning them all off the speed warning ones in particular. The connectivity was good and i liked the steering wheel…… if I was to compare this to the Audi product, say S4 Avant ? I’d say the Audi has a lot more going for it. This was a gap filler, although I dropped a C8 S6 avant that was also a gap filler; didn’t like that either, until the A6 C9 lands but that’s still some time away and so is the A5 Avant which was supposed to be July but now September possibly October, but this had to go now as I watch the bottom drop out of them as ever with the new models arriving 🙃 I’d stopped using it, just didn’t inspire me much. They are ok not 💩 but struggled in some areas that some may not experience or want. The tow bar system is great, better than Audi’s so far, perhaps that’s the best bit. The full ppf wrap didn’t get much use either 😂 by @v8_omfg
