This butterfly is common in Himachal Pradesh and is found in a variety of habitats, including forests, meadows, and grasslands.The Sorrel Saphir is a medium-sized butterfly with a wingspan of about 40-50 mm (1.6-2.0 in). The wings are brown on the upperside with orange and blue markings, and the underside is a dull brown with a few markings.
