“Be Still” is out now

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

this year has been really hard on us. my wife and I were actually battling with depression this year. I can post about it now because we’re on the other end of it for the most part. Judah is happy and joyful which is infectious and we thank God for him. Baby #2 is due any day now which we are over the moon about and we can’t wait to be with and learn all about them. music slowed down a bit because I got a city job (unfortunately not full time) but I’ve also recently gotten another job teaching kids guitar and drums which has been super fun and I really enjoy that.

for the most part, we are well and are expectant of what God wants to do with us.

now, a bit about this song…

This song encapsulates the season, in a really raw and honest way. I was messing around with drop C tuning when I wrote it, late one night back in July. It probably took me 15 mins to write which is crazy because I’ve been in a writing slump this whole year. I set my phone down to record it and take #2 is what you hear. I know i couldn’t capture the same feeling even if I tried. So, this is it, flaws and all.

Younger me would’ve thought releasing this raw, unfiltered, unedited voice memo was the scariest thing in the world. It’s not, it’s fun and music is supposed to be fun!

So come on in, grab some coffee (or tea ☕️) , and stay awhile. Didn’t have a chance to clean up, but this is our life. Messy, full of growth, gratitude and hope in spite of our circumstances and at times heavy doubts. The Lord is OUR strength and OUR shield in times of difficulty and sorrow. if you read this whole thing, thanks. Forward, onward and upward in Jesus’ name, amen. by @vail_music

We would like to give a special thank you to @vail_music and @angelchavez.music for an incredible and powerful night of worship! 🙏❤️

It was a beautiful evening filled with praise, worship, and a reminder of who we serve, why we love Him, and how deeply He loves us.

Thank you both for sharing your gifts and leading us in worship. God bless you! 🙌✨
