I feel like Iโ€™m more into hojicha during the colder weathers. It just tastes more cozy since it has chocolate and caramel notes. Iโ€™m using @kyohayashiyamatcha โ€˜s Hojicha for this! It is on Amazon and itโ€™s one of the best Hojicha that is on there! #hojicha #matchalover #underrated #reels #hojichalatte by @vajashlee_

Today marks 15 years since I sat by my momโ€™s hospital bed and held her hand as she took her last breath. In days, that is 5,475 days since she went home to heaven. For some odd reason, this year hurts more, but I have to be strong for her. Maybe grief to someone watching means it gets easier. But as I get older I start to regret the memories and milestones I do not get with my mom. Like getting my license and not being able to take her for a ride, so she can nag me at my driving. Or treating her to a birthday or Motherโ€™s Day meal while she tells me to save money. I was only 9 when we said goodbye, so she only got to witness a small fraction of this life of mine that I have to live on without her. But what I need to know is that, she will always be by my side. Maybe I donโ€™t see her, but I know she wants me to know that she is here as my angel. My mom will always be a source of inspiration when it comes to strength and hard work. No matter how sick she was, she was always ready to wake up and work on her farm because she loved to garden. Mommy, I really hope that I am making you proud enough. No amount of words can express how much I miss you. Thank you for being my guardian angel. And I hope Iโ€™m being strong enough to where you donโ€™t have to worry about me. โ€œHow lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.โ€ - Winnie the Pooh by @vajashlee_

Make a Banana Bread Matcha with me, using @aiyamatcha โ€˜s ceremonial matcha. I just bought this yesterday and I have been very obsessed โœจ. Also using @rosabrothers heavy cream for the banana cold foam! #matcha #matchalover #matcharecipes #matchagreentea matchalatte by @vajashlee_
