LOVE LETTER TO A FRIEND
(Full version on Vimeo — link in bio).

In advance of @niko_samsonidse upcoming title fight at Oktagon MMA on January 31, I asked his friends and family to send a voice memo saying who he is to them.

Since I started bringing a camera into a big part of what we have shared as friends over the past few years, I have tried to add my perspective on him on the visual side.

Feels quite intimate to put this out now, since sharing has never been the motivation. The intention was to support a friend in fulfilling his dreams by showing him how he is received by the people around him. And everyone involved did their part for this purpose alone, which I think is what makes it truly genuine and heartfelt.

I think anyone who is noticed and loved as Niko is, already has become a champion. Now he is going to be one in his sport too.

Anyway, a kiss on the forehead to @mpsaux for grading this so beautifully and for always supporting my ideas with enthusiasm. A big hug goes to @_bruce.t for the mix and for having my back when it comes to my lack of musical skills. Thanks to @firmament.de for giving me the space to do projects like this. Literally and figuratively. ♥️ taken in Berlin, Germany by @vakawa
