WHAT A YEAR! 💥

I can’t even comprehend everything I experienced in 2025. This is probably the first time I’ve done an IG recap. Whenever I’ve tried something like this before, I’ve ended up completely buried in a pile of unedited footage and given up within the first hour. But this year it’s different. This time, I finished it. And although I couldn’t put it all together to a single edit that would cover everything, I managed to summarize 2025 in a carousel. I would like to thank everyone who was a part of and contributed to these amazing memories with me. There aren’t too many people, as I haven’t been very social over the past year and have focused on other things in my life, which is why most of the memories are of places I visited alone. But that’s just how it was for me this year, and I was happy with it. Maybe it’s strange, but that’s how I’m happy in my life lately. BUT it wasn’t always easy, let me tell you…

One of those roads that stay in your mind long after you’ve left 🏔️

Passed this particular one many times in the last few months. Knowing that it’s probably covered with snow right now feels weird. Time is passing somehow fast to my taste. Maybe I am living too slow? 🫠

Col de la Bonette 2715m ⛰️

Most orange memory. As high as you can get with a car in this national park, now probably closed. Apart from the fact that I had no clothes for winter time, it was one of my most successful sunrise missions.

Sometimes it’s fine to feel lost, I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Woke up 6:00AM, drove to the highest road in all Mercantour and watched the world around me come to life. It was so cold and windy, I couldn’t believe it. Had to leave the car running with the heating on full blast, otherwise I would probably freeze and never move again haha 🤧 tuff morning, but so worth it. I have never seen a sunrise like that in my life.

This edit took me 5 hours. I am truly starting to hate Adobe After Effects. Makes me slow down and be patient. For me that’s hard nowadays.

I just realized how much I am actually obsessed with stacking as much content as I can. Which is great, but these themes are starting to repeat soon. And also posting late summer/autumn memories in almost winter time gets kind of weird too. So many more images to share… good thing we have carousels!

THESE ARE PROBABLY MY MOST EXPENSIVE SHOTS 🏔️🚁 just because FPV is an expensive hobby 🤧

For me it’s the reason for all of this. FPV shots are most precious to me and these are also the shots that get stuck on my hard drives the most. Just because I usually want to edit them the best to get nicest possible outcome. After all, I risked my gear for this. I risked high fines too and all together gives you the feeling of such an adrenaline. Even more when you fly in restricted areas. Kind of like the forbidden candy when you were a little kid.

And its kind of bizzare really. These drones are specifically designed to surf the mountains even though you can’t fly there according to the law. I am and probably forever will be furious with the legislation around this. But still I was trying hard to find the places there that should be fine to fly.

First time, my 6inch FPV broke even before I got to Mercantour. Many of these are shot using my small 2inch cinewhoop, recorded only on DJI O3 Air Unit, which is pain to color grade. Also flying small drone in high wind takes the extra skill.

So I went back few weeks later after repairing and also consulting with the service center. And the drone lasted only one day 😤 after that I started feeling pretty nasty spikes in my control. Funny enough I was just at the top of the mountain, so I barely even descended down. Next flight I went without GoPro, just testing. Drone fell from the sky and I ended up looking for it for about two hours in the dark. It sits on my desk ever since, two motors broken and video antena too.

Let’s hope for a better results next time, I hardly even got any propper dives or long range. These are some of the shots I got so far. Not bad, but I expected so much more.

Probably gonna post these in vertical too, with some sfx later on.

On the way to French side of Mercantour. This national park is located on the borders of Italy and France. Never knew what language to expect! This was just a quick pull over. Love this vibe, suits the season.
