My mini birth story, raw and real.. ✨

Giving birth to my daughter is the most surreal feeling I have ever felt in my entire existence. I look back at my birth story with such a positive feeling. It wasn’t perfect but so much better than I expected.

I’ve been reminded how strong and powerful we are (especially our minds).

I’ve been reminded how precious and incredibly special it is to be able to give birth (no matter in what way that is). It’s a blessing on its own.

That throughout grief we can still find joy and FEEL THE LOVE.

The absolute best is yet to come..🤎

Pregnancy has slowed me down in ways I wasn’t prepared for - physically, emotionally, spiritually.

I’m learning that rebuilding doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful.

Trying to love every phase…
The extra rolls. The weight gain. The loss of energy. The body that feels unfamiliar sometimes.

But it’s okay if you don’t love every phase.

You don’t have to romanticize every part of becoming a mother.

Because even the parts I struggle to recognize in myself are reminders of what I went through to make my beautiful baby.

This body carried her. This body made her. And I’m learning to be gentle with it.

Maybe loving yourself doesn’t always mean loving how you look…, maybe sometimes it simply means being grateful for what your body has done.

|Becoming HER|
Motherhood didn’t teach me to become perfect. (Although I still struggle with perfectionism.)
It taught me to become even more present.

It didn’t ask me to let go of my dreams.
Instead it reminded me that every dream I carry now.. carries her too.

It didn’t make me lose myself.
It introduced me to parts of myself I didn’t know existed.

There are still days I doubt myself.

But then she looks at me…
And for a moment, the world goes quiet.

Maybe motherhood isn’t about becoming someone new.

Maybe it’s about becoming more of who you were always meant to be?!

And for anyone who wants to know that carrier is one of my favorite carriers from @wildbird 🤎 my daughter loves it.
