Had the opportunity to furnish one of @almahotel_seefeld s rooms for a special occasion. celebrating the Sinn und Gewinn 25 year’s anniversary. ♥️

what a great place with great people!
they started off as with their pioneering project “lady’s first” and proved: economic success and social commitment are not opposites - but reeinforce eachother.
there should be more places and companies like this 👏👏👏 by @valelip

Mother‘s Hood is the title of my upcoming exhibition @galerieamplatz in Eglisau, starting on july 17th.
It is the title of my big tufted rug (2), but it also encompasses my latest work, the series of childhood memories that I painted on tiles (3) in the last weeks and months that were intense in every meaning of the word (4). 🏥
I got to know what it MEANS to be a mother. For me that was: Walking around the city to various playgrounds, (5) preparing food & entertaining the little one at the same time (6) and being there for her when I actually just also wanted to hide my head in the sand (8). It means to make a zillions phonecalls, to tidy up and take care of the household while my daughter finally sleeps and I would also need rest (9).
It also means being there for the one you said yes to and making it possible for the little one to see her father, who cannot be home at this moment (10).
It means getting support from so many people but also realizing that my own mother still also gets to know what it means to be a mother, even after all these years ( 11/12/13 - and yes, I finally let her clean those windows.. 😂)

Well, I love walking by her side (14)

but I can’t wait for Papa to be back at our side 🥰

And I can‘t wait to show you what I created while everything was a mess, because I am f*ing proud!!

Started a new project, which I will be showing at my exhibition „mother‘s hood“ @galerieamplatz in Eglisau, starting july 17th. ♥️💥

Currently going through hundreds of negatives of fotos my father took while I was little - and useing some of them as reference material to draw on tiles.

After painting a lot and big, drawing on these 15cm squares is a lot of fun, reminiscing and reflecting on being a mother myself. ♥️

can’t wait to show you motherhood scenes through the lese of my father @jurajlip (👻😂🥰) with a focus on colors and patterns of clothes, rugs, curtains, paintings, sheets and pottery.

I have around 30 tiles so far, lets see how many I will finish untill 📅 ✊💪 by @valelip

#MilanoDesignweek #fuorisalone Adventure..

presenting “Mother’s Hood” for the first time ☀️♥️👻
Having the best family and friends support..

together with @archestudio.ch and @abuse_studio and @gegalanello

“Mother’s Hood” depicts a hilly landscape and a village in the canton of Solothurn—though it could just as easily be situated elsewhere in Switzerland. As a child, Valerie Lipscher visited her mother’s hometown every weekend. Following her grandfather’s death, the family returned there regularly to help in the family bakery.
Since the birth of her daughter, the mother–daughter relationship—and the lasting imprint of maternal influence—has become central to her thinking. This has led her to reflect more deeply on her own upbringing, which she closely associate with her mother’s place of origin and the journeys they took there. taken in Piazza Morbegno by @valelip

What happens when the hand becomes the bridge between the built environment and the raw sensitivity of matter?

This Milan Design Week, we invite you to HANDSCAPES.

The exhibition is a dialogue between three distinct paths that choose hand-making as a tool for territorial investigation. It is a resistance to industrial uniformity, where wool,
wood, and clay are not just materials, but vessels of memory.
From the tactile warmth of tufted landscapes and the structural honesty of local timber to the reclaimed earth from urban construction sites, each piece tells a story of transformation. Form emerges from a slow, conscious hand gesture that crystallizes the
physical origins of our surroundings.

Enriching this journey, our friend and photographer @gegalanello joins the exhibition with two photographs captured in the landscape of Umbria.

Join us to explore this intimate connection between human touch and the landscape.

Made with the help of @studio_sediment ♥️

After retiring my grandparents Slovakia began collecting porcelain figurines, Persian carpets, and other antiques. Since I never learned the Slovak language or Jewish religion and culture, their home in Zürich, filled with foreign and exotic objects and their accent, remained my only connection to this part of my heritage. As a child, I always admired the objects displayed in their glass cases but wasn’t allowed to touch them. The only things I was allowed to play with were the wooden #matryoshka dolls from Russia.

My porcelain #matryoshka dolls come from a world brimming with cultures, places, memories, experiences, colors, and patterns—everything I accumulated over the years. taken in Bratislava, Slovakia by @valelip

Working on this huuuuge #carpet - for my series „Mothers hood“. the swiss rural landscape where my mother grew up, and where I spent my weekends. #büsserach #solothurn
Thinking of more of the #maternallineage , after becoming a #girlsmom ♥️
Anyways, I underestimated the amount of work to #tuft cut and glue all of this…. Took a while. taken in Büsserach, Switzerland by @valelip
