I'd really like to get back into writing again, so here goes some candor and transparency. *throws up*

I have so much light within me - the problem was that I was so willing to give it away, even to people that wanted to just steal it for themselves. I saw my light as something to share, to sacrifice. My light may come from the infinite, but me, this life, is finite. My cup is my responsibility to fill. My light is my responsiblity to safeguard. I have been hurt by others time and time again, and every time it happened, I soon after would heal and “refill my cup,” and chose to spill that cup all over the damn place once more, restarting the cycle. I convinced myself it was holy. To still choose love in the midst of pain; to accept the lashes. To not take it personally. That everyone has their trauma. To let it “roll off” of me, even though it really didn’t. To allow myself to be belittled, fragmented, molded and crushed into a shell of myself. I defied and rebelled the darkness, not understanding that was what would protect me. That maybe rage and darkness could be holy if harnessed properly.

I am responsible for my peace. I choose myself above anyone else. Or, I should. Not out of selfishness, but because if I don’t prioritize my own heart and soul, I cannot raise anyone else’s. Self depletion and sacrifice is not holy. It is hell. It is descension, chaos, and the excusal of evil.

Your spark is light, but your depth is in your darkness. You can’t rise up against misery and suffering, without reaching into the abyss. If you stare into brightness, “love and light,” you are blind. The beauty of a spectacular sunrise or a perfect blue sky would lose it’s significance and weight of glory if there were no dark days to compare it against. Darkness, the one you own, is something to transcend and gaze into, not turn a blind eye to. You can integrate it. It can be controlled - and if you don’t, it’ll control you. This doesn’t mean to become partially evil, but to keep that shit on a leash. You discern when to let it off leash.
