#valencia #circo #cirquedusoleil #españa #circus by @valencia_guide

Recorriendo el backstage de Alegría✨
Entre telas, silencio y concentración…
la magia ya está pasando,
aunque el público todavía no la vea.

🇬🇧 Walking through backstage at Alegría ✨
Between fabrics, silence, and focus…
the magic is already happening,
even before the audience sees it. #valencia #alegría #cirquedusoleil #circodelsol #circus by @valencia_guide

Navarra en Valencia… and I loved every second of it ✨

🇪🇸A veces no hace falta viajar lejos para descubrir algo nuevo… 🤍

🇬🇧 From cooking with iconic ingredients like espárragos y alcachofas de Tudela to tasting some of the best wines — this was more than a workshop, it was an experience.

There’s something powerful about going back to real, high-quality ingredients and letting them shine 🌿

Thank you for bringing a piece of Navarra to us 🤍

5 galleries that are free in Valencia🏛️👇🏻

With so many museums and galleries to see, you might feel overwhelmed with choice, and that’s why we’ve put together a list of 5 (mostly) free museums and galleries you should visit:

1. IVAM- Valencian Institute of Modern Art. Centre Julio González

As the name suggests the IVAM is a place for modern art. There are exhibitions dedicated to textiles, photography, post WWII art, an exhibition on womanhood and more.

2. L’Almoina Archaeological Museum

L’Almoina Archaeological Museum is bigger than it appears to be from the outside, because most of the museum is actually located underground. Here you can find lots of ceramics from as far back as the 11th century Balanasiya era.

3. Valencia Museum Of Fine Arts

Every city has a dedicated museum and art gallery and Valencia is no exception. Similar to other dedicated city museums, you will find a variety of styles and eras of paintings. One notable thing about the museum is that it includes a significant amount of Valencian artists. Notably, Valencia has a rich history of impressionist painters. 👨🏻‍🎨

4. Carme Contemporary Culture Centre.

The Carme Contemporary Culture Centre is quite an exciting gallery to visit. Located in the heart of the historical town centre, it gives guests a refreshing and vivid contemporary experience. The gallery clearly aims to keep up with the times, and definitely tries to keep up with the culture.

5. Bombas Gens Art Centre

Bombas Gens is a gallery that aims to expand the horizons of its guests. The gallery aims to be a reference point for unique and innovative art.

This does not always mean exhibiting the newest art, it means finding the art that they think is most important in pushing the limits of art.
This gallery will be enjoyed by those who like avant-garde and contemporary art.

5 restaurants to eat paella 🥘👇🏻

1. La Pepica 📍(Passeig de Neptú,6)

In El Cabanyal neighbourhood, La Pepica is one of these large, seaside-y places whose décor doesn’t look like it’s changed much since the ’80s and whose clientele have clearly been coming here for decades as well. Their paella Valenciana is a specialty, and comes according to the traditional recipe with garrofó (a large variety of butter bean), their green bean counterparts and plenty of aromatic rosemary and saffron.

2. Maremar 📍(Playa de pinedo, 20)

If you prefer your paella with seafood, you’ve got plenty of options along the beach too. In the opposite direction, down south to Playa de Pinedo, Maremar’s paella is everything you’d expect: ocean flavoured and umami-sticky on the bottom of the pan. But their charcoal-grilled vegetables were possibly the stars of the show. Not to mention the uninterrupted views over the ocean🌊

3. Casa Carmela 📍(C. d’Isabel de Villena,155)

With its long-standing reputation for being one of the paella greats of Valencia, Casa Carmela is packed at every hour it’s open. We tried their seafood paella, which is cooked over open wood fire (look in the kitchen on your way through the restaurant – it’s quite theatrical!). The rice was sticky with umami goodness, and just charred on the bottom. Classic but perfectly executed.

4. Casa Roberto 📍 (C. del Mestre Gozalbo, 19, L’Eixample)

Casa Roberto’s “house of rice” is a good choice in the Gran Vía neighbourhood. Inside, it’s quite traditional but we sat outside on the sunny pavement terrace to watch the world go by. Roberto’s paella Valenciana came stuffed with all the things you’d expect (chicken, rabbit, beans) but also artichoke and snails, which made it feel a little different.

5. La Riuà 📍(C. del Mar, 27, Ciutat Vella)

Located in Valencia’s picturesque historic center, La Riùa is a family-run restaurant & it’s home to more than a dozen different varieties of the famous rice and it’s at the top of many local’s list for eating 🥘 in Valencia. Once you taste their paella, you’ll understand why.
