Finally, here are the photos of our collaboration violin, inspired by a C.G. Testore from 1703.

A project that took shape over two years in my workshop in Zurich, made together with my friends and colleagues Gibertoni & Nalin and Boris Haug.

The violin has already found its new owner, while all that’s left for us is to get together again, raise a glass, and celebrate! 🎻🥂

Two years later, the Testore violin has been strung up!
We discussed, exchanged opinions and completed this Milanese-inspired instrument we are so proud of.

Last day at the workshop.
It has been such a difficult year for everyone, emotions have been swinging and uncertainty has been a major issue for each of us.

Still I hope everyone has learned something from this situation, even a small thing, something that made you feel somehow accomplished. I am proud of having learned and started to master new antiquing techniques, I feel i have a lot more to learn and me and @gibertoniviolins are working on new wonderful projects I am thrilled to show you all.

Me and @gibertoniviolins began making this Del Gesù’s Lord Wilton inspired violin in June 2020. It is extremely important for us to create the best work of art we can, giving each piece of wood a true uniqueness in terms of sound and look. Nothing is left to chance, from the choice of wood to the antiquing progress.
Taking time being self critical with our work, finding new techniques and studying the more historical ones is essential for us to improve and for our instruments to take their first steps in a new world.
