💖July/August recap💖
The past couple months has been filled with so much community love, support, new and old friendships growing stronger, and so so sooooo much sunshine and warmth. I cannot put into words my gratitude for the community I have been able to find and the love that has poured into my soul due to these lovely people🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
August 23 2026 also represents my 3 years post top surgery, so I had to toss in a lil chest update for yall at the end🙂‍↕️

To those who have entered and left my life- I love you.
I am so grateful to love and be loved; to live and have a life so worth living; to experience the fullest of joys and deepest of sorrows. This life is a blessing and each and every one of you make it better 💖

this month has been so full: full of surprises, love, community, loss, grief, and learning to support myself and others:
10 years on testosterone
graduated with a bachelors
went to so many community events
enjoyed the sights Washington has to offer
saw the legendary @theprettymess and @keke at @queerpridefestival
made new friends, rekindled old relationships, lost my closest people
started a graduate program that brings me so much joy and pride
and so many more unspoken details, feelings, achievements and lessons to be grateful for. thank you to everyone, new and old, who has witnessed my growth and supported my journey. it hasn’t been easy and I absolutely wouldn’t be here without each and every one of you💚

This past weekend I celebrated my 25th birthday and all the craziness that I experienced at 24. 🏔️
For the first time, I traveled the world, I spoke a language I can barely read, i met and created a true connection with a whole new family, I explored my fashion, gender, and self expression, I saw sites and paintings that I’ve only dreamed of visiting, I had my first experience ever at Disney, I learned the things that matter to me in life including my family and friends, and I’ve been able to use all this love and inspiration to focus on a bright and beautiful future.
To 24 year old me, thank you for everything. This hard work and dedication to discovery will push me to live a life that younger us could’ve never imagined. To 25 year old me, I love you and let’s kick some ass this year. 💖

Just want to update the world- I’m about 36 hours post top surgery 🥹 I am SO grateful to all my donors, my supporters, my friends, my family, and most importantly my amazing caretakers including my surgeon, nurses, anesthesiologist, and my friend who has been my 24/7 at home nurse- I literally couldn’t do this without you jjessicamerritt 💖
So far, the pain has been pretty manageable and I will be able to get my drains removed at my first post op appointment tomorrow!!! I am feeling so many emotions, but mostly gratitude, pride, and such a weight lifted off of me as someone who’s been looking forward to this for 10 years and counting. Dear little Val, we made it kid 🫶🏻🥹

New hair style to ring in the new year. I feel so blessed lately- I have an amazing, beautiful partner, I’ve been welcomed into a loving family, I have a new car, ive gotten a new job, I’ve decided my major in college now that I’ve started my second quarter, and I am so so so grateful for everyday I am alive right now. I need to get better at posting on this account 😅 hi yall! Been a minute- here’s and update:
-turned 22 in November and have been enjoying the bar life and social scene
- single and loving every second of dating myself
-gym bro vibes , I’m there 4x a week nowadays
-quit my shitty retail job of 2.5 years to be instantly promoted at my amazing barista job
-finally scheduled a top surgery consult and will be undergoing surgery in 3-5 months
-feeling like I’m genuinely living and loving it.
