This is probably the first 30+ minute practice I’ve had in a few months.

79 days ago, my dad had a medical emergency and stayed almost a month in intensive care. I spent that month in my hometown with my mom, going to the hospital every day, trying to be supportive but really crumbling inside. Nothing prepared me for this. Seeing my dad in the ICU was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’ve never felt so much fear, pain & faith all at once. Long story short, it’s been really difficult, but my dad is home now and slowly recovering.

Through these hard days, I’ve struggled to reach for my self care tools. Regulating my nervous system, belly breathing, and connecting to my center of love and inner peace has been tricky, but I still showed up most days for at least 5 minutes, a short meditation, some deep breaths, a few cat-cows or spinal waves. Those little moments always reminded me there’s always something to be grateful for, even in the hardest of times.

It feels good to be back on the mat, slowly exploring ranges I haven’t felt in a while, slowly letting my guard down & feeling the energy flow. But I do feel different, perspective & priorities have shifted a bit I suppose, there’s a lot to process within.

Anyways, all I want to say now is that I’m grateful, that God is big, that family is everything & these hard months have shown me that love is all that really matters ✨❤️✨ by @valkorvin

18 days in the Sunshine State isn’t enough but it sure filled my cup 🥹💛

Watched every sunrise & sunset, canoed and kayaked through gator infested waters, swam in the springs & explored the creeks, learned more about space travel at Nasa KSC, caught a monster truck show, and ate allll the pizza I could fit in my stomach. But most importantly, I soaked up all the love from my family 🥰
