🚌 Beautiful Vamily!

We’re on the bus headed back to Valley Vista after an incredible three days at Camp DECA!
From September 28–30 in Williams, Arizona, our culinary students dove headfirst into high-volume hospitality, helping prepare and serve 5 meals for 490 campers—that’s 2,450 meals total! 🍳🍳

This wasn't just a trip; it was powerful work-based learning in action. Our students experienced exactly what it takes to run a large-scale foodservice operation. Working in a commercial kitchen and dining room, they mastered:
• Food prep & cooking 🔪
• Dining room setup & table service 🍽️
• Beverage service ☕
• Dishwashing & cleanup 🧼
More importantly, they put critical life skills into practice: communication, time management, food safety, hospitality, and accountability. Every single student stepped up, rotated roles, and showed what true teamwork looks like. We are so proud of how they represented Valley Vista and Dysart! ❤️🙌 by @valleyvistahs

Hey Valley Vista families! 🥖🥩
Join us in supporting our amazing Sports Medicine and EMT students for a Dine-to-Donate night at Texas Roadhouse!
📅 When: Thursday, October 1st, from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM
💰 The Impact: Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of total food sales directly to our program!
Why Your Support Matters 🩺🚑
Did you know our EMT program includes students from all four high schools across the district? This fundraiser helps these dedicated students cover the costs for their HOSA trips, leadership conferences, and state or national competitions.
How to Participate:
📱 Show the Flyer: Present a copy or a digital photo of the flyer on your phone to your server so our program gets credit.
🥡 Dine-In or To-Go: Craving rolls at home? To-go orders count toward the fundraiser too!
⏳ Plan Ahead: If you plan on dining during peak hours, join the Texas Roadhouse waitlist online in advance to save your spot.
Thank you so much for supporting our future healthcare professionals and CTE students district-wide. We hope to see you there! 👋 by @valleyvistahs
