For the @ru_pops challenge White. This is the Bridge of Sighs, or Ponte dei Sospiri, which was built around 1600-1603 from white limestone. It’s spotlit at night, further enhancing the white stone.

I’d recommend a visit to the Doges Palace to take a walk over this atmospheric bridge.

This was a rather damp morning as we headed up to Cautley Spout but as we walked back down the skies cleared a little.
(Cautley Spout is England’s highest waterfall above ground.)

For the @ru_pops challenge “S” is for …… I stopped to take this shot of the steps, on the way to the top of the beautiful Scala Contarini del Bovolo. This is a 26m high cylindrical tower with 80 steps and a rooftop view.

Day 24 Reflection
This is a view of the river Thames reflecting the glow of the London Eye. In the background you can see the Houses of Parliament and also Elizabeth Tower (which houses Big Ben).
