If you ever plan to have money after you graduate, you should come to this session!

Professor Sara Gundersen will be leading a "Next Steps" event on personal finance. It'll count for credit if you're in Senior Colloquium, but even if you're not, come join us in Mueller 114 for a primer on where you should put your money. (Hint, "under the mattress" isn't a good strategy.) #valparaisouniversity #christcollege #honorscollege #valpocc #personalfinance by @valpocc

Look, up in the sky! It's a TA paragraph? It's Meowller? No, it's CC CINEMA!

After fall break, join us in Mueller 140 for the return of CC Cinema. We'll be screening "All-Star Superman," the subject of this month's pop-up symposium. But you don't need to be in the symposium to attend this screening... our cinema room is open to all!

In this animated film, adapted from the best-selling comic book, Superman discovers that he's dying -- so what's on the Man of Steel's bucket list? As always, we'll bring the popcorn. #valparaisouniversity #christcollege #honorscollege #valpocc taken in Mueller Hall by @valpocc

If it's Thursday, it must be time to spotlight some more of our fabulous senior TAs! Where else but Christ College could you take a class led by a meteorologist AND an English major? Eli Conklin '27 and Clare Joyce '27 bring their disciplines into dialogue in the classroom, and if you ever have questions about baseball, this is the TA section for you. (You'll find them both in Professor Upton's office hours, reviewing IMPASSIONED play-by-plays.)

Three cheers for Eli & Clare! #valparaisouniversity #christcollege #honorscollege #valpocc by @valpocc

Whether you're returning home for a few days or just hiding out on campus, your friends in the good life want to wish you a restful and restorative Fall Break. And to do that, we've taken a swing at our annual haiku contest... we'll be back next week with the official winner(s). #valparaisouniversity #christcollege #honorscollege #valpocc taken in Mueller Hall by @valpocc

On today’s edition of #WhiteboardWednesday, we’re focused on how to improve our writing, how to spell our professor’s name, and when to draw faces next to your thesis statement.

Plus, if you haven’t already, tell us what text you would add to the First-Year Program! #valparaisouniversity #christcollege #honorscollege #valpocc taken in Mueller Hall by @valpocc

Today's Sunday spotlight shines on Steven Seibert '27. (How many words beginning with S can we fit into one sentence??) This year, Steven cares about dialogue -- the hallmark of any good CC class experience. Thanks, Steven, for keeping critical thinking alive in our building!

If you've got a care and a photo, you should send BOTH to us, and we'll spotlight you soon! #valparaisouniversity #christcollege #honorscollege #valpocc by @valpocc

Doctor's Orders! 🐾

Today is World Mental Health Day, so here are some helpful reminders for staying healthy during midterms season. Don't forget to take care of yourself... and if you need a pick-me-up, please visit my candy bowl in the Mueller Hall Commons.

Love, Meowller MD 🐾 by @valpocc

Have you checked out the photography exhibit in the Commons? 📸

Next time you’re in Mueller Hall, be sure to spend some time with the work of Elizabeth Lieb ’27, Lydia Klabunde ’27, and Isabelle Byrt ’27. This trio studied overseas together in Cambridge with @valpostudyabroad and came back with photos and memories, which they have thankfully shared with all of us.

Did you know that first-year CC students meet with a senior TA every Monday? These Tutorial Assistants are invaluable peer mentors who revisit the First-Year Program in a Thursday night course with Professor Upton.

Today, we'd like to introduce you to our 9am TAs! Ruth Cook '27 and Jake Johnson '27 are both mechanical engineers living the good life, even though their favorite CC texts are different! (That's okay, that's allowed.)

Say hello to Ruth and Jake! #valparaisouniversity #christcollege #honorscollege #valpocc by @valpocc

It seems like y’all enjoyed #whiteboardwednesday last week, so let’s pay another visit to the classrooms of Mueller Hall and eavesdrop on some great conversations, admire some artwork, and ponder the mysteries of the Cars universe. (New FYP text, anyone?) #valparaisouniversity #christcollege #honorscollege #valpocc taken in Mueller Hall by @valpocc

The Refectory was quite full for our recent symposium on "Magnifica Humanitas," but even so -- we know you weren't ALL there. We are therefore glad to share with you a recording of the event, co-sponsored by the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Student Center and the Augustine Fellows.

Join Dr. Ed Upton and Dr. Tal Howard for an engaging discussion of Pope Leo XIV’s recent landmark encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, and its timely reflections on artificial intelligence, human dignity, technology, and the shape of contemporary society.

The full recording is at our #LinkInBio and on our YouTube page. #valparaisouniversity #christcollege #honorscollege #valpocc by @valpocc
