VA2A “The Argonaut” - sublime electro-optical compression and legendary vintage colour. Built with authentic LA2A parts following from 1968 blueprints and heavily modified.

A favourite to countless top producers & engineers to shape the vocals, because of its unparalleled ability to level any singer and push their voice to the forefront of any mix.

This VA2A is named after the Argonaut SS-475 submarine that made its last voyage in 1968. To complement the submarine design, the VU sits in a metal frame resembling a porthole. The "Gain" & "Reduction" knobs feature embedded genuine buttons from The Royal Navy, and the letters "A" serve as pointer arrows. To affirm the military look, all letters have been hammered in by hand.

VAE Mods:
- Passive Output Attenuator pot accessed with a screwdriver on the front panel. Use this to turn the VA2A into a monstrous tube-distortion
