En el estudio con János Vámos 🏗️ @vamosjanos_ desarrolló su residencia artística en Piramidón durante los últimos meses de 2025, trabajando en uno de nuestros estudios. Su práctica investiga la relación entre el espacio y la presencia humana, poniendo el foco en los espacios intermedios, híbridos y en transformación que habitamos actualmente, tanto físicos como digitales. Su obra explora tensiones como romanticismo y constructivismo, erotismo y representación explícita, así como la forma en que la percepción contemporánea se construye a partir de capas, fragmentos y superposiciones visuales. Durante su estancia, profundizó en la idea del espacio como elemento que modela la identidad, incorporando referencias a estructuras industriales, puentes y arquitecturas que dialogan con una pintura expresiva, matérica y fragmentada. Sus composiciones suelen construirse mediante capas superpuestas que evocan tanto la complejidad de la experiencia visual contemporánea como la manera en que percibimos la información en entornos digitales. Una de las obras producidas durante su residencia forma parte actualmente de la exposición colectiva 2026_N1, que puede visitarse de lunes a viernes, de 10 h a 19 h, hasta el 17 de marzo. The tension between constructivist rationality and romantic sensibility lies at the heart of the Interspace series. I am not interested in choosing between clarity and ambiguity, control and dissolution—instead, I explore how these oppositions can coexist within the same image, and how they reflect the fractured, overstimulated nature of contemporary perception. Grids and structural lines appear as architectural traces or digital echoes, but they rarely remain fixed: they shift, blur, and destabilize, making room for translucent layers, floating forms, and barely suggested landscapes. In this body of work, materiality plays a crucial role. While the visual field may evoke immateriality or detachment, the physical presence of the object insists on being felt. I use wood as a foundational element—not just as support, but as a reference to basic construction, stability, and weight. Alongside traditional canvas, I incorporate various synthetic materials that allow me to experiment with transparency, layering, and permeability. forrás | A XXVII. Hegyvidéki Nemzetközi Művésztelep kiállítása Bár „forrás” című csoportos tárlatunk bezárt, folytatjuk a művészek bemutatását. VÁMOS János (SK/CZ) – Érsekújvár, 1995 – Vámos János vizuális művész 2019-ben szerzett diplomát ipari formatervezőként a Pozsonyi Műszaki Egyetemen, majd a Prágai Képzőművészeti Akadémián folytatta tanulmányait, ahol 2025-ben diplomázott Marek Meduna és Petr Dub műtermében. Erasmus+ ösztöndíjjal a Lisszaboni Egyetem Képzőművészeti Karán tanult, ezt követően a barcelonai Piramidón kortárs művészeti központ rezidenciaprogramjában is dolgozott. Legutóbbi egyéni kiállítása a „Fragmented Presence” a Prágai Liszt Intézet – Magyar Kulturális Központban volt látható 2026 áprilisában. 2025-ben több csoportos kiállításon is szerepelt, többek között a pozsonyi Galéria Nedbalka „Maľba 2025”, a pécsi Modern Magyar Képtár „Kortárs Függőségek”, a prágai Galerie Magnus Art „Tušení nespatřeného”, valamint a budapesti Várfok Galéria – Project Roomban az „Átjáró” című tárlatokon. 2026-ban a barcelonai Piramidón, Centre d’Art Contemporaniban a „2026 N1” című csoportos kiállításon is részt vett. „Munkáimban ellentétekkel és tág amplitúdókkal dolgozom, a nyerseség és érzékenység, az üresség és a túltelítettség, az absztrakció és a figuráció között egyensúlyozva. Motívumaim gyakran a környezetemből származnak, és metaforikusan jelennek meg. Rendszerint ellentmondásos nézőpontból mutatom be alkotásaimat: erős ingerekre vágyom, ugyanakkor a túltelítettség miatt az ürességet vagy a transzcendenciát keresem. Dopaminvezérelt alkatként folyamatosan új impulzusokra vágyom, miközben az egyensúlyt és a transzcendenciát próbálom megtalálni. Festészetemben a ’természet’ nem csupán a tájat foglalja magába, hanem a kontextust is – a társadalmi és épített környezetet –, amelyet drámai módon jelenítek meg, Cy Twombly és a romantikus festők hatására. Azt vizsgálom, hogyan hat a környezet az emberi percepcióra. Bár a fizikai térből indulok ki, megközelítésem töredezett, mesterséges, és nehezen meghatározható struktúrákra épül. Moved into the new studio and decided to create a little pop-up exhibition for myself. I brought together a selection of works from the past few years to take a step back, look at the bigger picture, and reflect on which approaches, solutions, and experiences are worth taking with me into this next chapter. Together with a few fellow artists, we’re building a new shared studiohouse in Prague. I’ll tell you more about the space soon, but for now, if you’d like to stop by for a studio visit, feel free to DM me in the coming days.
