Here it is, one of the most personal and emotional performances I have ever done. (Lock your screen and rotate phone).

This piece is dedicated to all the mothers out there, who may be feeling overwhelmed, know you are not alone, and I am available for a chat if need be.

Note: I signed in BIM (Bahasa Isyarat Malaysia) as a “hidden message” to all mothers out there
“ We are Enough, We are Strong, We are Mother”

A week before the comp, I was so close to pulling out, not only because I was injured, more because my anxiety was so bad, I didn’t believe in myself, I didn’t feel “comp ready”. I was training nearly 20 hours a week and it still wasn’t good enough.

Then my daughter told me she signed up for a Chinese singing competition. I was really surprised and I asked her why she joined. She said because it looked like fun and she just wanted to try. Singing isn’t really in our family’s genes but her bravery to try anyway really inspired me and reminded me of the whole point I signed up in the first place - to tell a story through dance, to keep a promise I made to myself all those years ago, more importantly to dance from the heart.

Thank you to my dear friend @mknkofficial for helping me with the music edit.

Initial sound is real chaos from my home,

Diversity in Motion

A long overdue release of this project. As we come close to the end of 2025, we want to thank the incredible pole community that has supported us. The strength, encouragement and love we received from our students is the only reason we are still here.

Regardless of our backgrounds, be it in ethnicity, personal movement history, or physical capabilities, we all stood as one.

This video is to showcase the diversity we are as a nation in Malaysia, ever more so in Sabah with the richness in our culture, and the diversity we are as individuals.

Please enjoy, share and thank you.

Flowvember Day 3 : I’m With You

A nice quick one for today.

Flowvember Day 2: Soulmate

Same flow, but slightly different movement on the other side. Interesting how I can never repeat the same movement, I naturally flow into something else on the other side.. although the same steps, it feels differently and takes me a completely different way.

Halloween Routine :Bury a Friend

An impromptu decision (30 minutes before I taught the class) to add a little Halloween spirit into a choreo we had been working on.. same choreo but with extra fluffs.. see end for original choreo ..

“Just One More Time”
The Biggest Lie we tell ourselves.

I was tired after teaching 4 classes today and sore from DOMS(thanks @danajchinn )..

Yet I always get this boost of energy after teaching. Seeing students nail tricks always gives me such a high.

So here is a little fluff and play after class tonight. Goal: move with control and float.

Pull Ups..
5,4,3 fingers ✅
2 fingers ❌❌

To try again with a box instead of jumping up. See if it makes a difference.

Have you tried these? Let me know ..

What my inner critic sees-

- transitions not smooth
- body switch was terrible
- tricks not fancy enough (#boring)

What I should see instead
- held that spin with one hand, two years ago that was not possible
- you have gastric pain, sore joints and insanely itchy eczema, but here you are still able to do no-leg pull up three times after holding a long spin at 10 pm, and this is your 6th time doing this combo after teaching two classes

So here is me reminding myself to not be so hard on myself and maybe a little reminder for you.. to be kind to yourself too, because you are amazing. by @van_she_dance

Pole tricks in different languages.

Love how international the pole community is! A visiting poler from China dropped by Pole Oasis this week and taught me the Mandarin word for Handspring: 提拉 (tí lā) which directly translates as “life and pull”

What are some pole trick names in your language, and what do they translate to?” by @van_she_dance
