A little preemptive Throwback Thursday action:

The highlight of my summer was seeing one of my all-time fave crews @realsmifnwessun followed by one of my fave DJ’s in the game @djkocoakashimokita @skratchbastid ‘s @bastidsbbq here in Vancouver. I normally lay back from the crowd at shows these days, but I busted my ass right up front and center like a teenager for this one! Awesome vibes all around! And a massive shout out to my man @flipout for the shout out!

Video footage by man @patrickpaes who shot our Brazil @clubdeparture party. Keep your eyes peeled for some projects he’ll be helping me with real soon!

PS: Great seeing you guys in Toronto @craterycon @skratchbastid @djkocoakashimokita

The last and most expensive pile of records from my trip to Toronto for @craterycon showed up. This stack is all the heat I snagged from @cosmosrecords Aki always sorts me out, catering to my love for funk, soul, boogie, disco, jazz, African, Brazilian and Latin joints. I never not go there when I’m in Toronto.

Came up on some great new and used at @invisiblecity_ and @playderecord - both spots are always worth a visit. And I’m happy to report a good haul from the Cratery Record Fair on the Sunday as well - some grails were obtained.

I’ll be back at the end of November for gigs and more record shopping. See you soon, Toronto.

Slide through Lala, downstairs @juneoncambie on Friday and Saturday @amber99powell to hear some of these fine gems I scored on this trip! taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @vancityevo

As much as I love having a crossfader to scratch with I also love mixing on rotary mixers. Catch me playing an early evening set @amber99powell this Saturday from 6pm - 9pm. I also love a gig that I can walk to with my roller bag 😀
